It's more difficult to keep your best players when Fergie's giving them a tour of the training ground before you've even accepted a bid. The Adebayor deal was a great deal so we took advantage of it and City really aren't a bigger club. Finally the 3 players listed didn't cost £40mill but De Gea, Valencia and Bebe did <laugh>

It's just typical of the media to get carried away with Spurs after a few good home games against bottom half sides.

The truth is the goals have been drying up for Spurs since they lost to Stoke, they haven't scored more than 2 goals against Prem opposition since and parked the bus at home to one of the weakest Chelsea sides in decades whereby we had one recognised CB and Bosingwa and Ferriera making up the right side of our defence for well over an hour.

Whoever wrote this article will be red faced when City romp the league and United finish 10-15 points above Spurs.

Agree. If Spurs wanted a power shift, they needed to thump Chelsea during their purple patch. They missed the boat because they aren't good enough

I'd rather a Spurs win, as we'd then be level on points with City, but I can only see a City win this weekend.

If Spurs had a decent back line and decent front line, I would maybe agree. But they don't! I also feel that the standard of their football has been grossly overrated. There must be something in the North London water as Arsenal used to be the team that were trumpeted for playing the best football. I didn't subscribe to that view then either!

Assuming we beat Arsenal of course!

Got to be a Spurs win if possible as, sorry Spurs lads, City are by far the bigger threat. Spurs just have the look of fallibility to me and that is likely to be their failing in the run in.

Maybe the past six years of living next to Arsenal has finally caused Spurs to use "we play better football" as a cover for years of failure? <ok>

There may a grain of truth in that.

Howver we should not be blinded to the fact that Spurs is currently playing the best football they've played for a very long time. When and if they click they will be a match for anyone. Certainly for City missing Kompany and Toure. Let's hope they do this weekend and we can have a great game.

As for United we will have a hard game as usual against the gunners. I think they are having a funny season too. They can get beaten by the likes of Swansea (thoroughly deserved by the Swans) but at home they'll raise their game against United no doubt at all.
