PNP how am I Wumming? I said the same thing for us throughout both the 98/99 and 03/04 seasons. You have to earn the right to be a contender it isn't given to you. By the time 25 games have been played Spurs will have faced the major players home and away.

In 09/10 everybody said we were not contenders as we hadn't played any of the title contenders and I never once argued with that.

I genuinely don't see how Spurs can be called title contenders on the basis of beating teams like Everton and WBA at home who are inept and cannot score goals, it's nonsensical.

Blackpool after 20 games had been played were 11th with 2 games in hand. I maintained throughout they were not safe despite most claiming they would not go down. At the same stage we were 5th and I maintained we would finish above both Spurs and Arsenal. You learn nothing about teams until at least Late February/March when transfer dealings have all been completed and pitch and therefore physical conditions improve.

Arsenal up until February have been arguably the best team for the last 2 seasons. Chelsea after January have arguably been the best team for the last 6/7 seasons.

Most Spurs fans have never been this high in the table so don't have the experience or know-how like Chelsea/Arsenal/United fans do.

City and United are the ONLY realistic title contenders with Chelsea and Tottenham being an outside bet
