Can definitely understand some people who are disappointed knowing he's not going to be around forever. But if he makes an impact and we go up then we can worry about filling the void then. And we move on.
I'm guessing as Nige mentions this guy can play as no.10 he could slot in behind Lambert. Especially away from home so he's also thought of in that kind of attacking role. I suspect that we may look for a centre back as cover. If we make it to the premiership I can now see us making a serious offer for Hooper in the summer. We're just showing our intent early to size up the situation. Whatever Nige and Nic do it will be good enough for me!
Great signing, a fast skilled attacking mid/ winger. Which we have needed, now all we need is a centre back as back up and maybe a striker?.
With Falque and Lee I think we can safely say out attacking options are covered until the end of the season. Lallana Lee Lambert Falque De Ridder Connolly Guly
Are we sure this wasn't the "striker/attacking player" he was talking about though? Another striker plus Lee and Falque Nigel has been on the shandy's again!
Chuffed to bits with this one, I do understand the negatives like he's not coming permanently, etc. But the fact is that as it stands we have just signed, albeit on loan, an u21 for the world champions, currently playing at premier league level having been with real, barca and juventus, arguably 3 of the biggest clubs in European football, and villareal aren't tiny. The guy just oozes class and potential, he will be looking to impress so that when he gets back to White heart lane he will get more regular football and will already be accustomed to the form of pass and move football we play, so well exampled at the clubs he has been at. We do need some cover in the forward thinking positions and we have just got it and maybe a bit more? I am genuielly excited about this one. Question if we need anyone else now really? Strikers: Lambert, Lee, Guly, Connolley and Barnard Wingers: Lallana, Guly, De Ridder, Chaplow, Falque and Holmes (who I think may leave this window) Mids: Cork, Spiderman, Hammond, Chaplow and Falque Wing backs: Fox, Harding, Richardson and Butterfield Centre backs: Fonte, Hooiveld, Martin, Seabourne and Jaidi I would say that's a healthy looking squad.
Falque is a Atacking mid/ Winger. The speed and skill we have needed on the wing. Our forward line is Connolly - doubt he can last the season Guly Lambert Lee That's 3 and a half strikers.
