I'm disappointed in Hearts performance this year. Normally by January they have this title in the bag.
I just realised this last night It's a Wednesday night game isn't it? We're guaranteed a sending off and a few handbags. Celtic going to Swinecastle is usually a good measure for the league - McCoist will be looking to us to drop points at this one - it'll be the usual vulgar misadventure a trip to that midden always is.
No, it's just we don't have a team full of hammer throwers like McElbows and divers like Jelavic and Naismith and Lafferty and...
Thomas the cat. I agree with you that some of the 20 yellows and 2 reds were completely down to the anti-Celtic bias that many of the referees demonstrate. We all know that Rangers deserved at least two more reds. McCullagh for his two footed over the top studs shown against Kayal. This results in Kayal been out for the rest of the season, the very fact that McCullagh said afterwards that he didn't mean to injure Kayal. That he never mean't to injure any player proves he is a liar as well as a dirty brute. Healy's attempt to slice Forrest in two was also a definite red card. The most damning thing of the lot was Sally giving his special instructions near the end, he had given up on scoring but wanted a result with injuries.
I thought it was a great example of tackling from 2 guys who like to get stuck in.......was at the bar when that tackle went in & I assumed having seen it out the corner of my eye the ref had given Rangers the freekick! Unfortunate injury that happens in a contact sport. The elbow on Ledley was far worse in the cup game & that hack from Healy
100% agree. Even Lennon said it was a 50/50, McCulloch was slightly over the ball, it happens. The Healy one was cynical as ****. If he hadn't just come on as a sub I think the ref might have sent him off.
Didn't really look at the replay as we got the freekick but first thought was it was a great tackle from both. Thought Healy might have walked, not a red card tackle according to the laws of the game but its easy for the refs to get caught up in the occassion.
