This weekend I watched Gillette Soccer Saturday, MOTD, Sunday Supplement and Goals on Sunday...do most weekends to be fair. Usually on MOTD if we win though lol.

Anyway, Gillette Soccer Saturday...quick post match Lambert interview then onto the next 'big' team..not even a bit of talk from the 'experts' about our performance just a quick PL interview.

MOTD, think they quickly said..yeah they played well and score goals or some ****e..took about 15 seconds.

Sunday Supplement, not a mention at all..as usual its all about United, Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal. Sometimes get a little cameo mention but this week not a word.

Goals on Sunday, just a lovefest with Wise and Zola and again barely a mention.

Why do the 'experts' and these football shows focus purely on the top 6 teams? We get the same exposure as we did in the Championship and it's ridiculous. I think it's just to do with the fact they know nothing about any teams or players outside of the top 6 so just quickly skim over us all to try avoiding embarrassment.

    Rant over!

As I mentioned on another thread during Goals on Sunday Chris Kamara kept referring to Alan Surman <doh>

There was an hour long Sports Panel on the lunchtime prog on Radio 5 live today,
as every Monday. Not a frickin' mention of NCFC during the entire hour <doh>

Maybe Beef for hire's 'Leeds Effect' is starting to happen tous all over again <yikes>

we just have to accept it - similar sized clubs like West brom, fulham and everton barely get a look in either. The media love to over-analyse every angle on the big clubs, it's quite sad really. Money talks.

Hi bors, not to worry about our disappearance from the headlines. They'll be there when we lift the FA Cup this year. LOL.

BBC's local Late Kick-Off show starts again tonight 11.05pm BBC1. Now that we're in the Prem it will be interesting to see how much exposure we get on that. Also, as to whether Matt-wooden-head-Holland and Dion Legend are still to present it ! ;)

why is everyone getting so downhearted about things like this?

as far as i can tell we are getting loads of plaudits from every corner of the media world, plenty of attention and i just fail to see what everyone is moaning about! we are doing really well in the premier league - just enjoy it!! we are not a big club in premier league terms and probably never will be - of course the bigger clubs will get more attention!! just think how little coverage we got when in league one or even the championship - it pales into insignificance. it seems to me some people just want something to moan about and as they can't moan at the team they look for something else to moan about.

i've heard or read nothing but praise for our players and management this season so what exactly are people asking for?!?!

I'm not bothered if we are getting praised or slated for 10seconds. I just a football show which talks fairly about each football team in the Premier League so I can find out about ALL transfers/rumours/performances/backroom problems/appointments etc. Instead I get a load of bullshit about Thierry Henry, Paul Scholes and Suarez being a ****.

Not downhearted Superman, narked by the patronising attitude which accompanies many of the plaudits -- little Johnny getting a pat on the head from uncle -- and the grudging nature of it. "The surprise package". If people in the media informed themselves as they should, they'd be less surprised. And to give credit where IMO it's due, for all Steve Claridges's faults, at least he doesn't patronise.

you've got to remember that we are a surprise package! bloody hell, there can't have been many of us that believed we would be looking this comfortable!! punditry has always been lazy and patronising towards smaller clubs - the fact they don't even call us 'smaller' clubs and refer instead to us as a 'lesser' club is bad enough in itself. i had a moan about being compared to blackpool while swansea are compared to barcelona in the same breathe! its perhaps not intentional, its merely a lack of knowledge of the subjects they are talking about. many pundits do not do their research which they should do. but overall, especially this season, i think we've had our praises sung by most if not all pundits at some stage this season. we aren't going to get much coverage on motd because its core viewers won't be interested in norwich. soccer saturday always talk about us for a good five or ten minutes each weekend. however, what does annoy me is that there are some very good pundits who never get a look in. lee dixon really should be on the main show every week - he talks sense, explains things clearly and researches each team and player properly. gary neville, love him or hate him as an individual, knows exactly what he is talking about and it shines through. even the football league show get it wrong - claridge doesn't know his arse from his elbow yet they have leroy rosenior, a respected and thoroughly engaging pundit sitting in reserve who barely gets used.

Yes, Lee Dixon is excellent, but does anyone give him any chance at all of e.g. eventually taking over from Lineker? I don't, he couldn't ever be metamorphosed into a BBC "personality", he's far too modest and non-flashy.

Don't think we will be on as they say for all the Football League clubs.
