Just saw this tweet from the Wessex League... mattwessex Wessex League Former Christchurch striker, Ben Dickenson, now of Dorchester Town, is set to join an unnamed Championship club this month... Not saying it's us, just interesting to see a player make such a big jump. Maybe our minions have spotted a gem in the non-league a la Martin

He started off as a Saints trainee if I'm not mistaken. Good little player with a bright future but don't think he'll be on our radar unfortunately.
It was only a loan initally, to enable him to be included in their matchday squad vs Burnley at the weekend (he ended up coming off the bench for about the last 30 mins). It had been pre-agreed that the move would become permeanant today.
I'm really not surprised that the Hooper chase appears to have hit a dead end. And to be frank, as great a player as his is, I'm not overly bothered. I wasn't comfortable with the prices being discussed. Billy Sharp is still the striker that I want the most. Jay Rod is still the striker who I believe we're most likely to sign.

OS stating that he wants success with Saints but he actually isn't ours yet? Surely they would of posted a picture of him holding the shirt or something to confirm it? Or has the deal still not completey done, because it states that he is still in Japan!

Ben Dickenson is one of my good mates. He used to play for Southampton but he didn't put enough effort in. We also used to play in the same team, you can tell if he had the commitment he would make it. As far as im aware he's joining Brighton.
Boro kept it quiet that they had signed jutk. apparently they signed him on loan for the game at the weekend and now have him permanently?
