Ridiculous was the Cabaye bit. Cabaye would have had to have been rolling around on the floor with his face cradled in his hands for Wilkins to have not said "It's a foul. Get up. Get on with the game", funnily enough the dramatization thing that Wilkins is so clearly against. Cabaye didn't want to make a meal out of it so he took his injury with dignity.

Also, when Helgusson got taken down and he stayed down Wilkins goes "He's injured - Helgusson's a tough nut. If he goes down he's injured proper."

Helguson gets up within 30 seconds.

And finally, is Wilkins in some form of relationship with Mark Hughes? Hughes is an absolute self-absorbed, money-grubbing overrated **** yet Wilkins happily sung his praises.

And usually I like Wilkins as a commentator.

There's also this ****ing Scottish ****er that says the word "lucky" so many times when commentating on our games.

    He hates us.

Sky need to work on their allocation of pundits, granted it may make little difference as they are fundamentally ****e but there is no way Wilkins should've been doing the QPR game and Smith doing the Arsenal one. Switch them round at least for a modicum of impartiality.

Also anyone else hear the bit where the main commentator said, as Macheda was trying to save a ball in the Newcastle box from going out "He's in the nosebleed section now."

And then Wilkins goes "Hahah good bit of commentary there. I like that."

    ****ing strange.

Wilkins is a ****ing helmet. Complete useless twat. Gary Neville puts him to shame.

There were a few Wilkins classics I noticed today but can't remember most :( He always mentioned how we gave the ball away in bad areas... what exactly is a good area to give the ball away?

Actually I have always found Wilkins to be very fair and normally speaks highly of us. One of my favourite commentators as he ust tells it how it is. But having watched some of the highlights and playback yesterday, I thought he must have been drinking! Then it dawned on me QPR were his club!!! (Man U too but I didn't hear his commentary on that one) Always difficult to be completely neutral when it involves a former club so I have no real problem with it. He was very complimentary about our stadium atmosphere before th game at least. What happened in those opening 20mins yesterday? We were so quiet, just not like us. I think it was the hoofball, people just weren't interested in us launching long balls for their centre halfs to clear. As soon as Benni came on and the real football started we were back to noisy normal

Really I thought he went on like a tit to be honest. I didn't see any ofthe three or four he's hit with worse moaning like he was. I like Cabaye but he is going to have to man up. Itwas a poor yellow card challenge but part and parcel of football.

Agree here, Cabaye has been guilty of a few nasty challenges this season and the recipient didn't moan half as much as he did. On the Helguson bit, yes, he got up after 30 seconds. He then got subbed 30 seconds after that implying he was injured. Blinkers alert.

Just watching the highlights on Football Special on Sky now, did Wilkins seriously say he didn't see why Cabaye had to go off on a stretcher after accusing him of play acting?!

I'm watching the game back as well.

I hate how we're all of sudden labeled a route 1 long ball team, than they criticise us for pissing about with the ball! Wtf?

Yes and I tend to agree a little. I'm not convinced it was all that serious and would not be surprised to see him lacing up his boots next week. If it was serious, like requiring a stretcher, then I think there would little hope of him turning out. We'll see I suppose. Its not clear why he was unable to put weight on it. Pardew seemed to be suggesting it was just a blow to the ankle as opposed to twisting anything. Whereas it might hurt, a kick on the ankle would result in heavy bruising at worse and pain, but you would be able to put weight on it.

I seriously think the north/south divide has a part to play in this.
We got more stick last season than QPR get this season even though we did much better as the promoted team.

I'm watching the match and it's basically the QPR show.
