The Independent are reporting that Pompey's rather interesting administrator claims: "I was involved in the background at Southampton in 2009. Their administrators, rather like us, had a number of parties interested and were pursued by one main one who didn't have the wherewithal to perform. "I actually introduced them, through a third party, to the current owner, but before that Southampton were looking down the barrel of a gun. It was an 11th-hour deal." Do you believe a word of that?
Because this man is just about as straight as the people he introduced to Portsmouth. Wouldn,t believe a single word he says.
The man is trying to claim some of the success for us getting a great new owner in an attempt to get the Pompey fans off his back. I think it is called reflected glory as he has done nothing with Pompey to bring him any credit. All I can say is if he did play a part then why hasn't he been able to do the same for Pompey? Their fans must be sick of the sight and sound of the man.
Ah, I see. The man has form. You'll have to excuse my ignorance because, as you may know by now, unless we're talking directly about Saints dealings, I'm liable to fall asleep with apathy. I really should learn where my limits are.
Why would he say that? If he's looking for a comparison, here's one. Our parent company went into administration & we got a points deduction. Hope that works out well for you. Yes Andy, they are inextricably linked.
Isn't this the same man who said that he expected to announce their new owners by the end of the week..... A few weeks ago. Loves to be the story which for a man is his position is just plain wrong.
The man(?) is a complete moron. Does he think Pompey fans will say thank you for having(?) a part in helping us stay alive. Dipstick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not necessarily..Cortese must have heard about it from somebody initially, but doubt he had any important input.
