I hope today is the last time Buz is a starter (or even sub). Today was his opportunity to show some of the magic we first saw four years ago but he failed miserably, no spark, subtlety or invention and a lot of nothing balls and misplaced passes. He really is a shadow of the player that lit up games under LDC and frankly, he wouldn't get into many Championship sides playing like today. Buzz off at your leisure...

He was better than Derry and his corners were the most dangerous weve had all season, he had a great shot saved too.

    He didnt look that bad.

There were a few, odd occasions where we saw a brief spark of the old Buz, but you're right. But we could start a thread each for all ten players out there today... maybe even Paddy could be criticised for a few poor positional choices.

Derry was embarrassing today, but Buz just failed to stamp himself on the game from the central role, if ever a game was begging someone to take control...

Just really disappointed because he could be the playmaker but seems to have lost it, it's THE key position and one we must fill soon. There were plenty of disappointments today but Newcastle were toothless and ripe to be taken. They passed much better than us but with no end product...

I thought Buz was Ok today, especially considering he is probably our 3rd choice in that position after Ale and Joey.

    Buzsaky surprised me today.

I think his dead ball ability makes him a valuable squad players. Yes he's not going to go past three men but he can turn the play over and stick some good balls into the box as well as having a great long shot on him.

I think we need to stop thinking of him as the flair player he used to be and now a simple CM with a good right foot. A lesser Ali Faurlin if you will.

I only managed to tune into the game just at the end of the first half but he was involved in a lot of the highlighted moments, had some splitting good passes and a decent shot. His corners looked ok, too. He didn't do much in the second half, though. Although, no one really did much in the second half as Newcastle played the most negative football ever.

Considering that's his first start in the premier league since the Everton game, I thought he did well..

I though Buz did alright, a bit shaky to start but in the second half he pinged a few good balls and looked pretty good, I think hos confidence is a bit shot though.

Personally, I'd rather chuck Ephraim in there as he can do a lot of Derry's running for him. I wasn't expecting miracles from Buz and I didn't get any.

He didnt take control but he doesnt have to, hes still a good player to have play as long as he doesnt hurt you so we can use him for set pieces like they do with Delap. there was a huge improvement in our corners, shame we didnt get any dangerous FKs. Saying that, I still see him as a wide player but there was no one else to play in the middle.

Could Buz play out wide in place of SWP? At least we might get some decent crosses in.

He's got no pace, when here Traore and SWP could be very effective...

SWP may have pace but he can't be accused of being effective!

You dont need pace to play wide, Beckham has proved that. You just need half a yard of space to whip a cross in.

SWP has literally done nothing attacking wise, no goals and no assists, hes useless and has been at fault for 1 goal. Buz could do no worse unless hes at fault for for goals against.
