In different ways it seems that Brownie and Pearsons attitudes towards the media have/are helping cause their downfalls, Brownie with his lunacy and Pearson with contempt, I didn't think Pearson would last long at Leicester as he needs to reexamine his attitude towards the media when things aren't going to plan, and it was never going to be plain sailing there for him
He's always lashing out. His interviews at Leicester have been worse than any he gave while here. Some of the stuff he comes out with to the local media is shocking, yet after the same game he stays perfectly calm when talking to the FLS.
does anyone seriously think that Nigel Pearson is gonna get sacked in the short-term. He hasnt started yet! He has money to spend, players to get rid of and has yet seriously to stamp his authority on the team. Whilst he was at City he took time under very difficult circumstances to first build strong foundations from back to front, he then nurtured the frills and by the time he left, we were playing the best football I can remember for years. Anyone who went to Brighton will testify to that. At Leicestan he has the resources to do all that at break-neck speed. My money is still on Leicestan reaching the play-offs!
The owners are not patient people. They are business people. I think he will definitley be sacked in the summer if they dont go up. However if he continues the way he is going pissing off fans, other clubs etc and the results remain poor then he could be out sooner rather than later.
Don't see how he reminds you of Brown, Brown has achieved great things in this game. Pearson's only claim to fame is winning League 1 on a Championship budget. Oh, and taking us back 3/4 years. I've no idea why you constantly feel the need to take digs at our most successful manager, and your criticisms of Pearson now show you as a complete hypocrite. He was the best thing since sliced bread and his media work was nothing but a good thing a few months ago. What changed?
Well who'd have thought it, so far it seems the former international manager who's won league titles in several different countries is a better manager than someone who won L1 a few years ago. I'd love to hear how we were set back 3/4 years under NP though TWF. The position we were in at the start of last season we were never going to get promoted, so on a worst case you could only blame him for not going up this season. Next season will be down to NB what we do.
I still maintain there was no excuse for the poor start we had last season, it was all Pearson's fault and he hid behind the excuse that it wasn't his team like he's doing at Leicester now. Attendances are back to how they were before the promotion season... we have a mentality of "anything higher than mid table is a bonus"... the Premiership days may as well not have happened.
So the poor attendances have nothing to do with the fact the opposition hardly bring any fans with them then.
I support whoever is our manager and you should do the same, your sniping at Pearson and Barmby before was nothing short of a disgrace. Saying that I have seen Pearsons arrogance over the last few months is not hypocritical at all, in fact it shows I've got an open mind by understanding that the sun doesn't shine out of his arse, would like to see you be a bit more open-minded instead of making idiotic comments about a manager who is very capable. Your godlike worship of Brownie and Duffen is delusional as was your support for Bullard and any other wum statement you've made on here, like saying Aidy Boothroyd would be a good manager for us. Moron.
Here we have AP trying to explain to Boothroyd why his tactics won't work with our players compared to the opponents at the far end of te pitch.
Pearson left us in the play-off spots with a squad full of good young players, his arrogance as a manager is costing him fans support. TWF is like one of those numpties ringing up Humberside and the idiots who fill the Fail comments full of bullshit, the good thing about this site is there is just him and the cretins seems to stay away from here
You're saying the same things about Pearson that I've always said. Difference is I have the integrity to stick to my opinions whereas you just say whatever's popular.
I'm still not a huge fan of the bloke, I'm not convinced he's the right man either. But I'm enjoying his managerial reign more than Pearson's.
