Go Go Go! Our only chance of any happiness this season. Make this our priority. Play a full strength side in the FA cup.

Would a full strength team beat Villa?

i was just going to say that, not being a wum or anything.....the whole reason behind this debacle for your team is that the first eleven are not quite good enough?

truth is..what your team is suffering is what we at spurs have endured for many a season...actually over a decade...where you make one semi intresting signing..lets say for example..mertasacker..he comes with a good pedigree..and then your manager convinces or tries to at least..that you are moving in the right direction..it buys your manager a few months of peace..then your nearer the january window now and the old saying that nobody decent is available is bandied around...but then again he might buy a 'young prospect' that the papers have been raving about..you know the type...that might get carling cup matches at a push...then by now its mid january...the flow of your game for the season is consolidated....your now told your manager has alot of money for summer spending....lets call it a war chest....so the fans become optimistic..because at the end of the day we live in hope for our club that it WILL prosper...so that means the current season can and will be put under the heading..'transitional period'...us the fans buy it to mean that we are building and we will kick arse next season...at a push you buy a gervinhio in the summer..he scores a few pre season crackers..the fans become optimistic...we ..the fans are duped again!!!

tha is how it was for a spurs fan for many a year...only in the last 3 seasons have we actually moved forward on the pitch....

    Szczesny
    Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Santos
    Song Arteta
    Wilshere
    Walcott RVP Gervinho

Is actually a pretty good side Don't forget were missing our right back, and our best midfielder and several defenders on and off

our first is not that bad, they are top 4 material, our back up is just utter sh!t, the likes of ramsey, arshavin, chamakh, djoure, are just not good enough back up, we need sagna, wilshere, and gervinho back as soon as possible, including vermaelen and dosantos, we are missing a lot of key first teamers, but that's still wenger's fault as he should have adequete back up, which he does not, he relies on completely sh!t players for back up and says he is happy with the squad!

we need new additions to this squad, a top quality striker, a top quality attacking winger, or ideally a top quality attacking midfielder who can either play on the wing or in the middle, if we could just make these 2 signings i would be a very happy man.

let's not go that far, we aren't suffering what you suffered, this is just one very very utterly sh!t season in which we may drop out of top 4 for the first team in like over 15 years, something your team is very accustomed to, so let's not compare our sh!tness with yours, we would really need to reach a whole new level of sh!tness to ever equal the sh!tness of spurs. don't get too big for your boots to come talk to Arsenal fans like you Spurs are so mighty now and superior, it's just one season, and in you yourself know that this current sh!tty situation we are in won't last forever. if we end up of out the top 4 this year, then this season is a simple write off, a rock bottom for us, but it won't be the norm, you know it, and I know it.

the point is it has been brewing and anyone knows that to maintain a challenge at the top then yuou must at the very least replace like for like....yes your big guns left this season eventually...but it has been brewing for many seasons...and had there been silverware to use as a temptation to keep them at arsenal then it might not be such a rubbish scenario squad wise..that is my point and thats why i compared it to the spurs scenario of seasons gone by..not because im too big for my boots as you put it...im on your board making a valid point..now you might not like that...maybe thats why your spouting and im not...but your obviously a prik that cant take hearing anything...i should have used another club as an example then you might not have been crying like a bitch..instead of creating debate.

like you say say..your **** is not like our ****..so you stick to your **** and ill stick to the **** that is fighting for top spot....now you can call me a dick

no need to call you a dick, we are so utter sh!t that there is no comeback to your facts that you are fighting for the title and we are just struggling in 5th, enjoy it for now, because you and i know this won't be the norm, congratulations you are in Arsenal's position for the first time in like over 15 seasons, it's taken you a while hasn't it, for the supposed bigger team of North London. But now if Spurs are suddenly better than Arsenal based on this 1 season, then this also means Arsenal were far far better than you as well because we did this consistently over your team, so I'm glad at least indirectly we get to the point that Arsenal have been a far better team to the Spurs, by the logic you are using (I mean everyone already knew that, but some of you Spuds are too stubborn to admit the obvious, but on your own criteria indirectly you just agree to it, :D)

Anyways although you are in the title hunt, you won't win it and still won't manage to do what the mighty Arsenal have done, which is compete and actually go on to win the premiership title. and when the years go by, nobody will really remember the season where you don't win anything, all history remembers are the trophies that's been one, and when it comes to those actual facts (the ones that people remember) Arsenal are still and will always be ahead of you on that count, nobody 50 years from now is going to say hey remember that 2011-2012 season if you end up 3rd or 4th, you only remember it if you win something, for example hey remember in 2003-2004 season we won the league unbeaten and actually secured the league itself at white hart lane? See? Something like that will be remembered, so even after you have a great season, one better than Arsenal, as the years go by, it won't really be remembered in the least.

Don't agree with this at all. The problem with that team is reliance on inconsistent players. My opinion of that team is this:

Goalkeeper - good enough to take us to glory.

Defence - Ok, yet to be convinced they will gel into a cohesive unit. Santos is the weakest link out of the 4.

Midfield - weak. Wilshere only player of real quality, not a fan of Song and Arteta is far too basic a player. Zero creativity in that midfield. Prefer Arteta to Ramsey who has not found his feet and Benayoun is industrious but ultimately pointless. Rosicky provides energy but nothing creatively, Diaby is always injured. Our midfield is weak beyond belief.

Attackers - only RVP is worth talking about, Gervinho is poor in front of goal and Walcott is abysmal. That team is a 6th/7th in the league team ! If Liverpool sort their form out and Gerrard starts running games again, we won't even get into Europe, we need to watch out for Newcastle too.

Disagree with this - we have sold our big guns and still managed to be competitive, reports of our demise were continually exaggerated. It was predicted when we lost Vieira and Henry and we came back and were able to compete. alas now though, we have replaced our quality with mediocrity .. this is a bridge too far ..

and thats the 'best' eleven. What about the strength required after them?
To play CL & FA Cups you need at least another top class 6.

  16. Following his promising start in the pre-season I had hoped Gervinho might have been someone we could rely on but he like Walcott lacks consistency.

You're right there Mr Head. We are only hanging on by the skin of our teeth and have been spared more blushes by the poor form of our rivals. If they should raise their game by a notch and we do not, it's hasta lavista baby to the CL and it won't be for just one season <wah>
