Hmm, that's what I thought when I saw Cotterill's interview. I don't see him turning it around either. Tbh, at this stage of the season, the best thing Forest could do is go cap in hand to Davies, promise him backing to get him managing again, and then shut up while he gets them to mid-table by the end of the season.
Totally agree couldn't believe his angry reaction to the fourth official for the red card then afterwards said he couldn't see incident from dug out. Total idiot!
Think his anger was directed at our bench for surrounding the 4th official. Adkins himself said he was sorry for getting involved. The ref made the decision on his own so don't think the 4th official got involved.
Yeah, I found myself wanting a camera on what Adkins and Wilkins must have done to wind Cotterill up so much. I'm sure Adkins wouldn't do anything out of malice.
The refs are all miked up so on a big incident like that all he has to say is "what do you think", if he gets three reds back in his ear then he knows he's got it right. Hence why the ref appeared to take forever to send Barton off a couple of weeks ago, they were having a mini-conference over the mikes. Plus it keeps them from getting lonely.
