I'll get crucified for this but oh well.

I wasn't expecting miracles today but Derry, Hill, Gabbidon, Bothroyd you are all not good enough for the Premiership.

If signings are made this week hopefully we won't see any of them play again.

Thanks for your efforts and good luck.

agree with derry gabbs and bothroyd but i thought clint did okay (not great but okay) and would be worth hanging onto as a squad player. i wasn't expecting a result today to be honest, we desperately need new players; unfortunately that gets harder the longer we carry on in bad form.

Apart from Gabbidon, I'd agree. The first half bookings seemed to just take the edge off our game and the Ben Arfa substitution gave them a boost at the same time. A good goal but their only chance and shot on target. I think MH will now have a clear idea of what is needed, I think TF will find his wallet stretched to the limit over the next two weeks...

Hill did OK but he's not sharp enough. The other 3 don't even warrant a place on the bench.

Attempts on target 9 to 4, off target 6 to 5. Hit the woodwork twice...

We were ok, Newcastle weren't all that their goal aside.

i thought we did well considering that was easily the weakest team weve put out in the prem, they had 1 shot on target.

The players you mentioned shouldnt even make the match day squad but that team with Alex, Anouha, Henrique, Samba will easily stay up. I would look at another forward too.

Derry is and has been for most of this season a liability time to be put out to graze,

Derry and Hill will follow NW to his next club. Gabbidon - I was never convinced however, even IF he played with a broken leg would still raher have him than One Size!! Bothroyd I would give till end of season (did not see todays game) just to see if MH can teach him how to score.

However, what is scary is that without Ali and Barton we do seem to be lacking in the middle of the park......

Does anyone get irritated the number of times SWP gets caught offside? He just doesn't seem to know how to angle his runs...

Best showed what a classy striker can do. Otherwise, our defence didn't look bad.

But agree there's not much mileage in Hill and Gabiddon. They're squad not first team at best.

Derry should be shipped out, but with all our thanks (Rednapp's comment on Sean's foul tackle that he "got there as fast as he could" said a lot)

Bothroyd - get rid. Probably Smithy too. Sadly not Prem standard.

I think with good coaching, SWP can up his game.

All things considered, I thought we did well today, we should of won. They had a good bit of fortune for their goal. We had none. A few quality additions in key areas and we will stay up.
I thought Newcastle were very poor. With a bit more confidence and conviction we would of had that match won by half-time.

I think today showed just how much we need a midfield playmaker, Kranjcar should be the target...

    Todays Team

Kenny (nothing to do really, we won't get any better i don't think)
Young (Best right back we've had since Bardsley)
    Ferdinand (Good Squad player)
Gabbidon (I really do not rate him should go)
Hill (Hate to say it after last year but has to go)
Mackie (Would keep him in as a Squad Player)
    Derry (same as Hill)
Buz (Really cannot see what he has offered for a couple of years)
SWP (Needs to have a settled position and be in a settled team)
Betty (if we get two strikers in he'll have to go)
HH (prefer to keep HH as a squad player than Betty)

Smith (Really have not rated him since he arrived to be honest)
Macheda (not sure he'll play much ig hughes gets targets in)

I know we were missing a few but Hughes has his work cut out, I can only see maybe 5 of todays team that should be making our 25 man Squad!!!

Gabby did very well today, him and Ferdinand didn't give Newcastle a sniff! Can't believe what I'm hearing. Hill's an honest player and give what he can, simply not up to the standard but we can't fault him for that?! Derry to play his last game for us against MK. Bothroyd with his confidence shot to pieces and should go out on loan to see if there's still something there.
But they are not alone, can't see that Smith will play for us again either after MK.

We were unlucky with the 2 in the aluminium. Only positive for me today was that we looked a bit more solid defensively.

    Yes.

Also we didn't get in the box enough. Majority of our shots from outside area but hey lets see what the next week holds for us in regard to signings.

I also thought Anton and Gabbi did well today - they didn't didn't give Newcastle much. Unfortunately they didn't need it.
