Why's this gone sticky? Because you're topical mate. You're causing a negative reaction on here and rather than kneejerk with a ban, I want to see what gives.

We get a lot of people on here winding us up atm - many posing as something they're not. Seen a lot of posts questioning your genuinity. Haven't seen much from you that even attempts to persuade us otherwise. If you are a genuine Rs fan, convince us.

Yappy uses US spelling. If that isn't a banning offence what is!

I am not winding you up at all. I am an Rs supporter, through and through, and have been since 1982, when I was 11 years old. I used to go the Loft on Saturdays when I could. Cried my eyes out at the FA Cup, I hate the Spurs.
Then I was there for our final game when Venables took us up to Division 1 in 1983 - I was there with my mates and we invaded the pitch - though on that day I sat over on Ellerslie Road with my mate's family who had season tickets. ! It was plastic back then, but I loved that plastic pitch - it gave us an advantage! Yes it was horrible, hard on body and players had bleeding scrapes after every match but who cares! I was also there at the 86 Milk Cup (League Cup) at Wembley for the final..... I cried that day as well, we didn't look like the team from the previous match in the Semis.
It was also sad to see us go down and then struggle a few years after that. I kept wondering why we couldn't hold onto some great players we had, I suppose we were too small - it appeared that we were the farm team for the big boys. I mean we had Fenwick, Seaman, Stainrod, Dawes, Gregory, McDonald, Ferdinand and more..... the 80's was great!

.... those were the high days for me in my formative years. The rest, I think you all know.

Now, we're back! And I felt great. And then I felt crazy when they fired NW. I really do hope that MH does make something happen and gets us results.

Cared enough to show due respect and respond positively at last. Thank you, that'll do for me.

This wasn't about the denial of freedom of speech, we disagree with each other all the time. It was about smoke and fire and the content of your contributions giving members on here the impression of a poorly informed wolf in sheep's clothing. Members are a disparate bunch, many of whom expressed similar concerns over the past couple of weeks. I put a gentle warning across your bows on Tuesday evening but nothing changed. Three days later concerns had reached sufficient levels that a member saw fit to start this poll.

Moral of the story: when you're challenged, substantiate or withdraw your stated opinion. Ya-boo-ing fellow supporters is like cheering when the other side scores.

'Nuff said, I think. Time to move on now all?

I was at the milk cup final too. Horrible!! Still wasn't it amazing how the whole of the QPR end stayed behind for ages after the final whistle to sing and sing? Remember that Yappy?

If thought this was an open forum where we are all allowed to express our views and are not abusive to others, and follow the other rules. Based on this hopefuly true assumption I find a proposal to ban Yappy from the Board far more concerning than anything I have seen Yappy write. I agree with Yappy that The Board made a mistake in firing Neil - should we banned for that!

I know of no reason why Yappy should be banned. No.

This board is about it's members. Members raised concerns on a significant number of threads culminating in this poll being put up. Hardly moderate was it? Our role requires us to try to keep things level. What would you have preferred us to do?

Brixton! I remember perhaps the first or one of the first posts from Yappy where I was gobsmakked by the abuse he received back to what was just his opinion. But I don't suppose I've read everything, and if it's as you say so be it. Good to hear you are happy with what Yappy has written, and glad you ain't banned Yappy!

So I take it you approve of the fairness involved in deciding the issue then?

Col: Nice try but doubt you'll receive the confirmation you were looking for mate!

Yappy post opinions like all of us on here, so whether you like the content or not, in my view Yappy stays.

The only reason to exclude is when the posts are offensive.

Boring, silly, downright contrary perhaps - we can all be guilty of this - but free speech reigns here.

    Crikey...ummm.

The posts I have seen from QPR "fan" Yappy on this thread are ludicrous. Just read them back to yourself. The internet meets Wikipedia meets local knowledge meets thinly-veiled insult. Good work Yappy. <laugh>

Alternatively just check out his back posts and the agenda therein.

So many above have mentioned free-speech but I don't think it's really about that. I really don't care if Chelsea fans want to come on here and contribute and debate. I would hope they'd have the balls they think they have to come on here in their true colours, so at least people who want a genuine debate can have an idea about where they're coming from. This is about people who want to hijack debate into a blind alley by making deliberately provocative statements, designed to get people fighting among themselves. Ambition eh? <laugh> It's nothing to do with free speech.

So, for example, while I agree with Oslo regarding NW, I won't debate it at the behest of a Chelsea WUM. And Col, regarding 86, remember the crush in the upper tier of our end? It's always in the details.

Out of interest compare my post at the top of this page

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/110024-John-Terry-charged-with-making-racist-comments/page5

    (smilies and all)

with Yappy's reply to me on the last page of this thread.

Always here for you HB, I hope you know that. <smooch>

No problem with Yappy who seems to be calming down, but LondonsThickest/Hammersmith Blue is infesting every thread and is becoming a bore.
