via twitter @tonyfernandes Tony Fernandes Just had a wonderful call from Neil Warnock to wish us luck today. Top man and great to have the call before a tough game.
That is gracious, kind, loyal and a genuinely decent thing to do. I can't help but think the least Warnock deserves is a lap of honour before our next home game...might be a little undermining for Hughes, but if he can agree to it, it would seem a worthy send off...
It'll certainly be "There's only one Neil Warnock" coming from the faithful at St James's Park today...
As they mentioned on Sky yesterday afternoon, there are very few PL managers who are sacked that are still so popular with home supporters as Warnock is...
How about a resounding chorus of 'There's only one Neil Warnock' which gradually moves into 'Sparky's Blue and White army!' Not sure how that would happen, but a balance of thanks for what Warnock has done, but also, as you quite rightly point out, a move toward being 100% behind Hughes. Whatever happens will happen...more importantly...lets just get some points!
