I dont like the look of us when we play 4-5-1 especially if we are playing the long ball, which lets face it, we do quite a lot.

Best or Ameobi on their own arent good or clever enough to lead the line alone, this is why I think they should both start, hopefully we wont need another option from the bench because we'll already be winning with the right formation.

We look a much more solid side when we play 4-4-2 IMO, and this is how it should stay at least until Ba is back.

I just dont see HBA on the right working long term, it exposes the right back and Pardew's hinting he doesnt like playing there.

    ----------------------------Krul-----------------------------
    Simpson--------Williamson---------Coloccini------------Santon
    Ben Arfa---------Cabaye-----------Guthrie--------------Jonas
    -----------------Vuckic--------------------------------------
    ------------------------------------Best---------------------

Shola to come on to partner Best if a change of tactic is needed. For this to work Vuckic needs to play much further up the field than he was at Anfield so we don't have a huge gap between the frontman and the midfield.

Really excited about tommorow, I feel if we had Ba and Tiote we could win by 3 or 4. However I do see us scoring a couple tommorow, hoping Best scores to so that critics get off his back. An early goal is crucial, we get that and their game plan changes.

I can see Pardew playing 4-3-3 for this one with Guthrie, Cabaye and Abeid in the middle. Though I wouldn't be disheartened with a 4-4-2... so long as Benny was on the right and Shola and Best up top.
What time's kick-off, need to know so I can camp on Twitter...

For me any of these two would be perfect:

    Krul
    Raylor Williamson Coloccini Santon
    BenArfa Guthrie Cabaye Gutierrez
    Shola Best

    or

    Krul
    Simpson Williamson Coloccini Santon
    Raylor Guthrie Cabaye Gutierrez
    Shola* Best*

*Possibly BenArfa instead of one of these. I'd like to see BenArfa and Best but as I think they would complement each other however Shola has been fantastic lately and he is our main attacking threat so you can't really justify dropping him. I can't see BenArfa and Shola working that well so I'd have to go Shola and Best. In all honestly though I don't mind what we do as long as Obertan gets no where near the first team.

I wouldn't start either striker by himself.

    --------Shola----------Best------------

    Jonas---Guthrie---Cabaye-----Hatem Ben Arfa

    Santon--Colo------Williamson-----Simpson

    --------------Krul------------------

And i'll be happy. Shola for Best/ Lover as well would be alright.

I'm gonna predict a 2-0 win for us, with Colo and Best scoring.

    My lineup would be:

    -----------------Krul

    Simmo-----Willo---Colo-----Santon

    Ben Arfa---Cabaye--Guthrie--Jonas

-----------------Vuckic (Shola if all is not going to plan)

    ------------------Best

    2-1 win I think.

Ben Arfa to get the winner.

Definitely this for the time being. Ben Arfa isn't playing well enough in the CAM role he craves at the moment. In the long term it will do him good to play on the wing.

As for the lack of protection to Simpson if Benny is on the wing, this is the perfect game. QPR are missing 3 of their their best midfielders. It's the perfect game to have Ben Arfa on the wing.

    This.

On the right of a front three would work (like Mifune has suggested), but we haven't got anyone to play on the left of it; Jonas isn't good enough in the final third to play that role in my opinion. Also it would leave the full backs horribly exposed, none of which I'm confident could deal with a marauding SWP alone.

Simpson gets exposed big time if Obertan is playing anyway, so personally I don't see the problem with HBA being there.

I know literally nothing about him, but I'm imagining a cross between Thierry Henry and Jose Enrique. What a player that would be. <yikes>
