I still think that Aguero could have come last January and would have accepted 100k, not like we couldnt have afforded his transfer fee and he's a lifelong Liverpool fan.
No striker brought in January= No Champions League football. I hope Kenny is bluffing when he says he isn't bringing anyone in. We NEED a striker.
We need some depth in the squad. We've got a fantastic Starting XI (If you count out injuries): Reina Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique Lucas - Adam Maxi - Gerrard - Bellamy Suarez But when you dig a little deeper there are plenty of issues in the team: As soon as you remove Lucas from the equation we are left with an incomplete structure within the team without a proper defensive minded midfielder. Take out Stevie G and we lack inspiration (Add Suarez and Bellamy to that list) Bellamy cannot play often Lack of back-up strikers (Suarez and Carroll are our only main strikers) Lack of cutting edge (Although with that team there is plenty of threat for the opening 45-60 minutes to cause enough trouble) Areas of improvement - Either as back-up (Or additional cover) and/or squad depth (With a possibility of pushing players in the current Starting XI: -Left back -Defensive midfielder -Creative midfielder -Right winger -Left winger -Striker (x2) Even with just a few of the above the quality and depth of the squad could be greatly improved
