    This.

As far back as I can remember I have always expected to beat Stoke, home or away.

We looked like we were out of ideas today - played far too many long balls to Kuyt and had too many pointless long range shots which highlighted our desperation.

Fair enough, trying long range shots towards the end of the match if things are getting desperate but we were hitting long range shots all match.

I think having Carroll in the team has altered our style completely, even if he's not playing. We seem to lump it up front to whoever is up there or trying to cross the ball which rarely goes to its intended target. I wish we would go back to the end of last season (when Carroll wasn't playing) where the likes of Suarez, Kuyt, Maxi would interchange, play fluid football, short snappy passes and intricacy. I think Kenny has set this team to be far too direct now.

Cannot criticise Clarke. His job is about defence and that's excellent.

It's Kenny who deserves a bit of criticism atm.

Hopefully we can eat our words but I too am having my doubts.

P.S Carroll has to go. We have to swallow our pride and get rid asap. His mediocracy is infectuous.

A lot of me wanted to see Carroll fail badly when he left us, but to see him transformed from an attacker who put the fear of God into defenders, to a pitiful, lumbering carthorse, it's sad. Very sad. The quicker he leaves Liverpool, the better. Can't understand what's gone so badly wrong for him.

If we did, I wouldnt want to see him sold to Newcastle. That would be too much pride to swallow, particularly if it was less than 20mil. That would mean they were able to fleece us out of 35mil, buy him back and still make a profit whilst laughing at us for being stupid enough to pay that much in the first place.
Nothing against the club or its fans, just the people running Newcastle. Wouldnt like to see them come out on top, slimy bastards

Problem is, I cant see any other club wanting to buy him for more than 10-15mil and it would only be English clubs (or the oil clubs, PSG or that Russian one).

Same. I never thought he was great, but I thought he could do a decent job for us. I am yet to see anything from him. His touch, positioning are the worst i've ever seen from a striker at Liverpool. Even the odd poor guy we've had can control and pass a ball.

It is true he hasnt had a constant run, but then again you have to earn that and take your chances. He hasnt.

The fact he wasn't played today says to me Kenny has lost faith he ever will come good - I tend to agree, but would of played him today purely to give him match fitness and to rule him out of our future plans. As it is there is still a question mark whether he can come good.

Horrible situation than hasn't, and doesn't appear like it's going to, go away.

I agree generally. But I do also think we just have to get rid of him without fail. Selling to Newcastle would be bad - but its better than relying on him to score our goals and have to put up with watching him every week!

I don't think anyone would buy. He's shown absolutely no form so I find it difficult to see even a Championship team putting a bid. Newcastle our the only club because they probably believe they can get him playing again - and would make a profit - and then could try and flog him on anyway!

No offence mate, but from what I've seen of him lately, I wouldn't want him back, even for £15m. It's sad to see him now. BTW, I'm pleased to hear you comment on the people who run us as slimy bastards, not the fans. We're not very keen on them either...... Twastards they are.

A few months ago I would have been ok with Carroll going back to Newcastle, if we could have got a decent price for him, but then Llambias made his comments about how he scammed us and was really proud of that. Proud that he forced/sold a local hero and was able to made a ton of cash out of it. Ashley is a fat twat, but Llambias is just a nasty piece of work that you seem to have been stuck with.

You've hit the nail on the head there mate. He was actually talking to some supporters a few weeks ago and said "You people haven't got a clue how horrible we can be". You probably won't believe that, but it's true. Llambias is a vile man.

Urgh, hate attitudes like this. He's raised some good points, just because he's questioning the LFC management doesn't mean he's a wind-up merchant ffs.

Agreed mate, some supporters are entitled to be pissed off just as the rest of us are entitled to be happy(some sort of)that Kenny is trying to build a strong team/squad that he trusts for the future in his first full season back.

Ok so KK's tactics are all over the place sometimes but you either back him to get it right or just because you dont your not a wum.

If Kuyt had have put that sitter away then there would be a lot less moaning on here. But therein lies the problem - Dirk Kuyt a limited footballer and indeed getting increasingly poor in a number of areas like control, passing / final ball and finishing. I do however question our expenditure of approx 75M on Carroll, Henderson, and Downing. We only made 2 good signings in the summer or at least value for money (Enrique and Adam) as well as Suarez this time last year.

Agree with most posters what is the point of playing 3 at centre back against a team that parks the bus and not starting with at least 2 up top.

Dirk's getting on a bit now but since hes been here hes always given 100%(his first touch has always been poor though),hes so limited hes one of the best players in the Dutch national team.

The "expenditure" has had less than one full season to be proven a total waste or not.

But like i said, there will always be differences of opinions amongst our support which is part of what makes footy what it is.

We are in the early stages of a rebuilding plan, and are sixth, behind some excellent teams who have invested fortunes. It's just the overeactions ecery time we fail to win that get me. Show a bit of patience, Kenny will get it right.

What was it 6 years before Fergie won his first trophy, Kenny is rebuilding after the yanks, do you know what I can't be bothered any more.

Have a look at the thread I posted Baz, you don't need to constantly defend yourself. Lots of people think like you and the ones that don't are just letting off steam.
