How many people have worried year in year out out about the money that is been poured into the WEPL. This downpour of money from either TV, advertising, owners laundering or where ever has left other league and especially the SPL seriously in danger of not been able to continue to exist. Arsenal has been wiser than some but has still spent a wee fortune each season. Now they are playing an old "hand" Henry who had given up serious football at least a year ago. Manchester United one of the long term big spenders who have regularly paid record transfer fees and record wages bring back an old boy who had rarely played 90 minutes last season. Decent Paul Scholes will be playing along side 38 year old R. Giggs. Now when I was young United were regarded as a family club. We know Giggs took that too far and I thought United would have acted. Now in this league of money we have at United two old boys 37, and 38 and at high flying Arsenal another old hand. Is the money running out even at the top clubs? When will it all come crashing down ?
Liverpool last night despite spending over 100 million in the last year , used Rangers european tactics in the second half , 9 players standing at their own pen spot hoofing it up to the one player at the centre circle, this was against a team that spent 330 million yet their manager moans he hasn't enough players !!! Interesting that there was 10000 empty seats for two top teams in a semi final
super hooper, give it a rest. The money spent in the EPL is nothing. The EPL is the biggest league in the world so you'd expect clubs to waste money.
Naw it isnae, I wet my pant at the prospect of watching Wigan v Stoke or even Liverpool v Chelsea when the only ****ing goal is a penalty despite both teams having spent more than £50m on forwards in the last year.

True Blue/celtictorybhoy if you had any manners or respect for Celtic and their forums, once banned should be sufficient. Having spent some time off the forum you could maybe then respectfully ask to be allowed on again, instead you came back on gloating that you had got round the system but the fact remains you were banned for a reason and should respect that. Term of ban , would up for others to agree but I would not like it to be longer than ten years.
super hooper, I should never have been banned as I had done nothing wrong. It was over zealous on pud's part in his new role and he has acknowledged this. But I promise never to mention the EPL on this board again so no hard feelings I hope. Fingers crossed for us today.
