Over on Pink'Un Forum, there is a post saying that Rudd is confirmed by PL to be out for 2 months... Anyone else verify this?
http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun/cs/forums/2663097/ShowPost.aspx Here is the link, serious choice posed, go for experienced keeper or trust Ruddy won't get injured?
Two keepers. Were Ruddy to be injured we would be allowed to get a keeper outside the transfer window. Buying a keeper now would limit who we could get and money would be an issue. If we waited till if Ruddy is injured the back up would be only temporary meaning a smaller transfer fee and of a better quality. But if we could get another keeper in this transfer window I would be happy.
We can't get another loan this season, since our quota of 2 is full...maybe goalkeeper loans don't count? (Hilario of Chelsea please Paul Lambert, for the rest of the season)
Please not Hilario. His keeping against us at the beginning of the season is just one example of how bad he may be.
I think it's fair to say that Lambert rates Steer highly, but is he ready for the PL? I guess Lambert would say that if he's good enough, he's old enough. I suspect we may see him play at WBA in the cup, and Lambert will base his decsion partly on that game. Interestingly, if he does that, we will have played 3 different keepers in 3 games against West Brom this year. Don't know what to make of that really, just thought it was interesting.
Very interesting! As long as we don't make it three penalties in three games! Rudd also did better against West Brom than Ruddy, saving a penalty and would have had a clean sheet if it wasn't for De Laet's mistake.
That would be me about rudd on another post and i knew about this yesterday if you have a butch at my subs on CPL We can have another loan as swansea now have 3, but i dont know if were restricted to 2 from this league!!
Think the rule it that you can only have 2 season long loans, so we could get a keeper in on a short 3 month loan. Don't hold me to that though
