Adkins says they hope to bring in a player this week and defintely says we are after another striker. Fingers crossed.
Lennon says it will take 'silly money' to prise away Hooper according to the BBC. Therefore some monopoly cash and a banknote with a red nosed Adkins emblazoned upon it from the Bank of Cortese should suffice.

I was listening to 606 tonight and a Saints fan was on and he said that Hooper was going to hand a transfer request in on Monday - IF true that would make life a great deal easier for NA and NC

Would be great if true. But lets look at this from a neutral perspective, Celtic to Saints? Celtic regulary in europe and Saints top of the second league in England. It would be a bit of a backward step for me which is why I'm not getting my hopes up about this deal.
I am really starting to think that Hooper will be wearing red and white stripes rather than green and white hoops by the end of the month. Celtic are obviously denying that he wants to leave but I can see him being lured back to England by NA and NC. He must be attracted by the competitiveness of English football (he knows all about it, having played in England before) and maybe Hooiveld has got in touch!
This would be a massive signing. and amazing for the club really hope this happens and i think it really will. adkins seems to know what he wants and having worked with him before he will know how to get the best out of him. think the most we should go to is 8. then sign a winger and were sorted

I would be highly amused if we bought Schmeichal from Leicester - it would really piss off their fans
