I agree with the points, but I am sorry, you spend that much money on attacking threats and we score less than Bolton and Blackburn. That is not enough. We can't keep hiding behind excuses as to why we are not scoring, we need to get someone in who can do it. Again, all points are true, real, genuine but we are forgetting the biggest one..... the object of the game.... to win and score goals!!!
Sorry about that, this was supposed to be a new article, don't know what happened there! Enjoying their football, fine, but what use is beautiful football to Carroll? Do you think he's enjoying it? And I'm sorry but that was 0-0 from the first kick of the ball. We all knew it. You talk of low morale and negativity. How high will morale be if this trend continues? I just don't like the negative vibes and the digs at Kenny, because in fact I think it's these players who are letting us down. Downing is piss poor.
From BBC "[Liverpool] have scored 24 goals in their 21 PL matches - their fewest at this stage of a top fight season in 20 years, since scoring 24 goals in old Division One in 1991-92." we're more impotent than a eunuch.
I think the jibes are that yes Downing and Carroll are poor......but Kenny bought them for a shed load of money. I am actually OK with Hendo, he shows moments, works hard, and has at least pitched in with a goal or two.
He's always been piss poor though, let's face it. not his fault he was signed up. Likewise with Carroll, even if he was sort of on form, he's never in a million years gonna fit with our playing style.
Yes, we can't take the machine gun approach to transfers like them so we have to be smarter but we also have to accept that a transfer will not always work out (no matter what method you use to find the player) So: We have a great experienced defence with great young prospects in all positions. We have a great defensive midfielder in Lucas with adequate cover in Spearing We have a world class midfield general with (I still believe) a promising young possible future replacement in Henderson who will learn from Gerrard each year. We have a world class forward in Suarez. So even if it turns out that Downing, Adams & Carroll end up being mistakes, (forget price, only an issue if the owners say there's no more money left like the previous gets) and again they'll be reasonable squad players to maintain our current position. We still then need two wide men & a striker with possibly one more attacking playmaker. Then we are most likely gong to finish the season 4 players short of competing for league. While staying still league wise & possibly (fingers crossed) with a trophy. I'll be happy if over the next 2-3 years we find these 4 & will even accept there will be a further 2-3 mistakes along the way!
Have you seen our goal tally recently? Even in Rafa's final year we scored more. TBH we finished that season where we are now roughly .
Tbh we dont need a super goal explosion. I'd take one nils till the end of the season. I just made a really great cup of coffee. Just thought I'd share.
It should be repeated on LFCTV at somepoint tonight or tomorrow. Channel 434 from a sky box (free channel) But hide all sharp objects first
See the players lined up in the box their for Scoles's goal. Rooney near post swing the ball across, Welbeck in the middle, Scholes in at the far post. We had plenty of balls in like that today, but no one was in to score them. Sorry to use United as an example.
No, never thought you where a ****, did not know you, and just saw an attack on Suarez from one of our own fans, winds me up, big time. But I jumped the gun and you where right in what you where saying. Fair play, and appologies for jumpimg in without gaining an understanding of what your beliefs are.........................
