    <laugh> Good edit!

That cloud/fog picture looks incredible really. Would be nice, if you were the owner, to kick back with a glass of port on the balcony of your castle above the clouds, blasting out Ride of the Valkyries.

It looks great, quite unique. The city itself is rather geographically unique too so it must be a really interesting place to go, I think I'll add it to my list.

I love Diocletian's Palace in Split. Not just because of the Roman History but because the people of the city have moved in and built their own homes within it.

Diocletian's Palace again. This is just a bit further up from the flats (green shuttered windows) in my previous pictures. True lived in history!

Well worth a visit. I got off the train on impulse because of a good write up in my travel guide. Just for a quick look around initially and ended up staying three days (and I didn't have three days to spare!).

The old town, which is effectively and island surrounded by canals is the place to be. <ok>

I'm sold. I'm due a trip to Denmark too so I think I'll hop off the train en route like you did.

Good stuff. If you haven't been to Copenhagen before (?) be warned ... the Mermaid is extremely underwhelming! ;)

Haha, so I've heard. I was going to do more of a countryside tour, nothing planned but when I do I certainly will be stopping off at a certain place just south of the border.

Was this purposely written :)? Since the castle was influenced by Richard Wagner?

I don't know if it's built into the ground like the Nou Camp as the capacity is like 80k but it seemed really small when I was looking at it from the other side of the river.

There was another Museum nearby which had two people standing atop with the hammer and sickle I will try to find it. You can't see really well but there is a rocket on top of this museum.

It's a radio and television tower, could see this from my appartment at night.

I was shocked when I found out tbh, I thought the castle would of predated him.

I liked how they used the metro during the war as bomb shelters.

I'm no architect but I'd say it bears a lot of hallmarks of a revival movement which, for me, gives it away as a more modern castle. Still pretty surprising to see that it was built so late in the 19thC though.
