Striker Henry is on his way to England Best player of the FIFA U-20 last year, São Paulo fan will be loaned for a year and a half for Queens Park Rangers. Posted on 13/01/2012 at 15:10 São Paulo (SP) The Sao Paulo the next day should close the loan striker Henry to Queens Park Rangers, playing in the Premier League's first division. Voted player of the FIFA U-20 last year, the Brazilian national team, the young man failed to take hold among the holders of the Tricolor. Henry stood out in the base and top scorer in all categories. Promoted with great anticipation, became heartthrob when he decided not to follow the example of friends Oscar and Diego, who tried to release the club in court. However, competition in the core team hurt. In the selection of junior, in 2011, was very good in South America and with the absence of Neymar and Lucas in the World, took the starring role. It was one of the gunners of the competition. The English club is betting that Henry can stand out among the young talent and will pay 500,000 euros for the loan of one year and a half. The final acquisition value after this period is attached: 6 million euros. In last Monday, because of the selection highlight, Henry participated in the FIFA Golden Ball. The player took the opportunity to meet idols. Presented to Zidane and took photo with the current best in the world, Lionel Messi. Already left the Sao Paulo since the end of the Championship midfielders Rivaldo and Marlos, striker Dagoberto, the right-back Jean, defender Xandão, the left-laterall Carleto (who had returned from loan) and the steering wheel Carlinhos Paraiba. The club, as usual, did not confirm the negotiations, but it must be closed, at most, early next week.
14/01/2012 by David McIntyre QPR were last night closing in on a deal to sign highly-rated Brazilian striker Henrique from Sao Paulo. The player came to the attention of several European clubs while starring in last year’s Under-20 World Cup. He was the tournament’s top scorer and was voted best player. Henrique, 20, looks likely to move to Loftus Road on an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent switch. Rangers are keen to sign at least one forward during this month’s transfer window. They have also been looking to buy defenders, with Manchester City’s Nedum Onoua top of their wanted list. And discussions with Chelsea over the possible signing of Alex are ongoing, despite the centre-back indicating that he would prefer to join French club Paris St-Germain.
Loan is such a loose term. He could do a runner on us anytime. Not a good thing. I don't understand, if we have the money, why we aren't spending just a little bit of it and bring in some players who would be happy to get a solid 1 to 2 year contract without all the fuss? So many players around the world, and we're not hearing anything. I'd hate to be skeptical, but it's definitely not putting me at ease, either
I think the real reason is Yappy is that were not really as big a club as we make out. TF is a scam and will pull his money out at a drop of a hat. This won't be as bad as those ****ers at Chelshit though. The latest rumour is that Roman is about to pull the rug on those fake c**ts and send them into oblivion. The latest internet rumours are that if Roman goes, Chelshit wont even be an AFC Wimbledon. Touch me bruv!
Honestly, if Kia Sportage is his agent, I'm going to seriously reconsider my support for the directors of the club. We were burned once with Ali, and the words 'South American' and 'Loan' now fill me with trepidation.
Lots of South Americans are owned or part-owned by leeches like Kia, it's their best way of getting into the big-time. Let's hope he doesn't turn out to be a lame duck, his goals to games ratio is poor at any level... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henrique_Almeida_Caixeta_Nascentes
Not in Brazil U-20 11 matches and 7 goals......He is just 20 for god sake and played only 20-30 matches in a senior level. Once again he is not the main target man we are after......just a bonus.
That's against kids. It's a big gamble in a key position considering we've got Macheda who hasn't pulled up any trees as well. I'll be happier if we land a big name striker as well, if we're relying on unproven kids we could be in the shyte...
It is quite ridiculous Col, he is exactly the sort of player I want coming to the club; young and hungry.
This is what it's all about! Ten times more excited than any potentially Defoe signing in the past. Nothing to worry about re third party, even if Kia's involved, he and we have learned our lessons. This is a perfectly normal way to conduct a transfer from south america, he'll be a steal at the reported fees.
As I keep saying...name me one big name, proven premier league striker that we could get this month!!
I really hope he turns out to be a world-beater, but the PL isn't the easiest place for a novice striker on a different continent to hit the ground running. We need a proven striker to carry the expectation-level and giving Henrique chances off the bench to ease himself in would be a better option. I'm not against the signing on age and cost grounds, it's sound business and it's a pittance in terms of whether he succeeds or not but he shouldn't be the main man...
Any number of reasons for a loan: If we were to get relegated a true big time prospect would not want to be contracted to play in a lower division The player wants to see how it works out before commiting to the club. The club want to see how he works out before commiting to the player. If people are now quibbling about the prospect of us signing one of the most highly rated young talents in the world then we really have lost our hold on reality.
Yes, yes....I know that and I agree. BUT...who can we get this month who is the proven premier league goal scorer that you want?
