A lack of attacking options for saints means this could be a gruelling midfield battle - Forest home fans have forgotten what a goal is. Saints will be desperate to avoid a 3rd straight league defeat and I think they will be successful in this. Hoping for a win but predicting 1-1 with the saints goal coming from a set-piece COYS
I disagree with the emphasis on defence we have been unlucky in our last two games. Yes we might be missing first team players but this is a chance for the squad players to prove them selves. This is just another game we should be out to win, where we need to pass & attack. Forest are in trouble and we have to take advantage! Common Saints! 2-0 win :~)
Fonte is a doubt, Richardson, Guly & Connolly should be fit, De Ridder & Chaplow are out is what I've heard so I would go with this team now: Davis Richardson Martin Hooiveld Harding Lallana Cork Schneiderlin Fox Connolly Guly Subs: Bialkowski, Ward-Prowse, Hammond, Holmes, Hoskins
agreed! has been superb this season, but i do feel sorry for Butterfield as he too is a great player himself
Forest's home form is the worst in the league and have only scored 11 at home all season. Are away form is not good enough, but anything but a win tomorrow is not acceptable as far as I'm concerned.
I'm not commenting on this form table (you'll need to jig it about yourself) but my earlier assertion that we'll find our shooting boots again today seems to be even more important than I thought at first. http://www.whoscored.com/Regions/252/Tournaments/7
Forest is not going to be an easy match as our record against so called struggling teams supports. However we too are struggling at the moment in time with our own form, especially away from home. The two may just even themselves out today. We will certainly see what our lads are made of.
And you're entitled to believe that. Personally though, I think a draw away to Forest would be a good result. Looking at SF4L's suggestion of using Harding and Fox together on the left-flank is one which I've seem lots of people suggest over the past few weeks (for various different games). What I can't understand though is why everyone puts Harding at LB and Fox at LM. That's completely the wrong way around imo. Harding's main asset is running down that left-flank, so why not put him in midfield? Moreover, it would give him license to do that without having to worry about leaving the LB position completely vacant behind him. With Harding at LB and Fox at LM, I could see us being less secure defensively than we would the other way around, and the two of them constantly being in each other's space just beyond the half way behind line. Any way 1-1 today. Blackstock scoring no doubt.
I fancy us to win this one, last week's match at Coventry could proove to be a watershed result, as it showed we could win away without Rickie and Jose among others. I take us to win by the odd goal, my bet is a last goalscorer scorecast... 2-1 to Saints, Hooiveld to score the last goal, a tasty 145/1
It's listed on firstrowsports as a stream so it might be on however it doesn't always work I.e. Donny away it said it was on but it didn't work. Does anyone what the feature games on FLS are if it's on??
