I'm gonna guess that is a fairly big chunk of the wage budget on a position we didn't really need to strengthen at this time. Good work team.

He's been playin Centre mid for Villa according to wiki. Does that mean we should not expect to see Howson back for a while???

Midfield will be:- Townsend Clayton Delph Snodgrass. So what will happen to Pugh who we have just signed, and what about Brown and Nunez?

Thoughts. If another club offered us 500k for Nunez ???

The word "BOLLOX" will be used to describe this utter drivel.

No "sauces" (that really is funny, you should use it more often). Why would Lorimier say such a thing, when the club have always maintained that they do not discuss any deals until they have taken place? I would suggest that Villa would want to loan out Delph to a Championship club so that he can regain his fitness, but that Leeds simly can't afford the wages.

Not a lot of fight in that midfield, lots of fancy football players, but little aggro, not really what you need for the Championship.

I think Pugh would default to LB alternating with White and Parker wouldn't get his chance. I guess there'd have to be rotation of Clayton / Delph / Brown until Howson came back, but then you'd be rotating 4 players for 2 positions and that doesn't include Nunez or Varyrynen.

I'd be tempted to take 500k for Nunez IF the money could be used to bolster defence. If not, no point selling.

I dont think that nunez is good enough anyway in truth. Everyone wants him to be but the more i see him play, the more of bad things i see in him. He seems like the player that performs on the training ground but can never take that to the pitch.

Pugh, i have always wanted playing at LB. I think that white is not good enough defensively and for white to play at LB, he needs someone in front of him willing to cover him and in all fairness, neither townsend or snoddy will be willing to do that as much as pugh has so i'd drop white in an instant to play Pugh there.

I'm not interested in us getting delph though, we need someone with more experience, a bit of grit and a commander (Brown aged 30) so getting delph really does seem like a pointless move. I wouldn't say we couldn't do with a CM though but CB and RB are more important

Just read a report that Lorimer broke the news to a bunch of fans at last nights On The Road event with Surrey Whites. I say a welcome signing with Howson out until March and even then he will need to regain his fitness. March is a packed fixture list with 7 matches so as far as I am concerned a good signing and far better than the wasted wage on Robbie Rogers. Good quality CM is what we lack in depth, wide players we already have Townsend and Snodgrass with Sam and Pugh back up so why we need Rogers beggars belief. I just hope we get Lichaj or someone decent at the back but then on the other hand it will mean O'Dea, Townsend, Lichaj?, Delph? all on loan, not an ideal situation and what message does that send out to the other squad players.

Spot on fella, they were also talkin about Lichaj coming back which would certainly be a welcome edition as Connelly has fallen well out of favour. I reckon there is more to that one than meets the eye...

Someone else suggested he was in the AOB camp in regards to sympathy with AOB asking for time out to sort his head out after being jilted at the altar, sounds plausible?

Really hope this true. Delph is miles better than Pugh, Varnyen and Brown. Especially with Howson out until March, plus he won't be match fit, this would be a great move. We need strength in depth, and with Howson and Snodgrass injured, it showed we didn't have that. But with Townsend and Rodgers signing, and then if Delph signs, we've got the depth to deal with injuries and the run in.

IF LORIMER SAID THIS he would have had permission from Bateshe can,t say anyting without the dictators approval first. My thoughts are its renewal time for ST so tell them we are signing Messi Ronaldo and Tevez anything to get money out of the so called morons that support the club

Rogers was clearly signed to provide us with strength in depth on the wings, which Larry clearly doesn't trust Sam to do, and this signing would do the same for CM, especially considering we often play 5 in midfield. I've expressed my doubts about this move, but I'll support Delph if it's true. I agree with leeds60, if Lorimer did say this it was probably a Bates order. Possibly we're willing to break the usual policy because Delph has specifically requested to come to us?
