    Why are some people completely devoid of saying anything which makes someone feel better in this situation?

    Sorry to hear than man. Been with my girlfriend for around the same of time (almost 4 ****ing years! <yikes>) and I'd be devastated after this amount of time if the same thing happened. ya feel pretty much settled in. i know i can't be bothered with meeting other girls again!

    saying that though, if she wanted to pack it in, then i wouldn't be too surprised.

    Don't see the necessity to do it to be honest. People expect you to do it and I just think, I'm not bothered about, I have no reason to do it (not religious, not too much into 'traditions' etc), and I'd definitely be financially better off without having to do it!
