Nothing that we ourselves haven't begun to want in the current situation.

Using the majority of the money we got for Oxo on one player wouldn't be a wise move IMO. But the Don know's best, whatever he decides I will be happy with.

Persoanlly.. i think 7Million maximum.. It's only the spl ffs! And so what they get europe.. they play crap teams after getting beat in champions league qualifiers for the qualifiers and then get knocked out straite away by teams who are in the lesser cup who come from places like iceland..

i know this sounds like niel lennon is conviced he is keeping him why wouldnt neil lennon feel that he has always been a strong character but i believe this going somewhere niel lennon has said that he is not for sale and it would have to be a exceptional bid but the matter of the fact that he mentions about the board considering a good bid is good as it looks like he believes the board could be convinced into selling there topscorer but we would have to break a recored transfer fee loll 4m for rory delap i say go 4 it :D

I think 6-7 million is his worth but let's remember Celtic are hard up, this is not England and 6-7 million up there is like 15 million in the EPL, from what was reported we tested the water with a cheeky 3 million bid early in the week, surely we cannot be naive enough to think Cortese bargaining skills simply are to follow up that offer by doubling it, he won't pay a penny more than he has too and has prob gone back in with 3.75-4 million and will prob make further bids, I can seriously see this happening he is an excellent striker and worth the money! If hooper values his career then he will get himself back in the english game, celtic & rangers are not bad teams but it's a 2 horse very boring race plus he is English himself and we could double his wages...I think he wouldn't take to much persuasion!

    Nigel wants his man!

If Cortese wants us to be in the premier league competing, then we have to splash the cash every once in a while.
There is no club out there that grows without spending a bit of money on certain players.
I'm not saying that we should go out and buy loads of players, just spend a bit on 1 or 2 big name players and we can buy others for cheap prices,a bit like what Arsenal do.

We've done well to spend only maybe £2.5m max in the last year.

That includes players like Cork, Hooiveld, De Ridder and Foc.

    Not bad going.

We've got this far but now we need to spend a bit more to get us that final sprint!

They cost an awful lot more than £2.5m collectively.

    Cork £1m
    Fox £1.8m
    Hooiveld £1.8m
    De Ridder £500k
