I would agree the fee of around £3.5m would be of interest to the Leeds United board, as it would be much higher than would be expected for a player like Snodgrass, that said, I would doubt a club like Norwich would be of interest to the player as with all due and respect to Norwich, it could be viewed as a step down from a club like Leeds United. Norwich have done exceptionally well of late and are a Premiership club, they may even remain a Premiership club next season, that said, staying in the Premiership would likely be there ultimate goal and I would suggest Snodgrass would wish to play in the Europa League at the very least. If Snodgrass remained at Leeds, then there is a higher chance of playing at this level in the future. I respect Snodgrass and I know he has a lot of thinking to do, he will be the one who makes the decision to move on now or wait till his contract ends. The Leeds board have not pushed him one way or another, but they have not offered a contract extention either, so take from that what you will.
Boab According to a German sports reporter named Heinz, Snodgrass has agreed to join Wigan for 3.25million.... However the Dutch news agency H.P states the figure is closer to 5 million... Also Andy O'Brien will sign for Middlesbourgh according to his Daddies.... At least this is what my "sauces" tell me
boab, i didnt once say norwich offered 8m... They offered 3.5m and an improved offer of 4m (3.5 + add-ons). Regardless of what you think you know, you are wrong There has been improved interest from unnamed clubs (which may well not be norwich) but that doesnt stop the fact that norwich were trying to get him in the summer. Stop speaking down to people as if they are stupid, you are not an all seeing all knowing human being so you dont necessarilly know anything
It is not my intention to talk down to anyone, unless they appear to be doing likewise to me. I have stated what I know about certain players on this forum, they come from information I believe to be true and accurate, and it is up to each forum member to either agree or disagree with me. I love the banter (why else would I be on a forum) and enjoy the wind-ups between members. I don't think I actually stated anyone specific said Snoddy was worth £8m, more that this was a general opinion of his worth from certain individuals on this forum. There is nobody more stupid on this forum than myself, I'm happy to admit that, I'm getting old and sometimes can't remember to go to the toilet never mind write a legible comment on the football forum.
Bob aren,t we both getting old but I get frustrated by fans being taken in by the BATES spinning machine everyone knows he would sell the whole squad for x and then tell us its for the good of the club .He has single handedly frozen the younger fans out with his price structure . They are the clubs life blood I dread to think what support we will get in 10 years time due to him. He his the biggest threat to the fan base
I can't help feel we have a Bruce/O'Neill scenario here, the same players may perform 100% better under a new manager, than they have ever done under Grayson.
I think SG is far better than what you think .Bruce was he ever done ANSWERS PLEASE ON A POSTAGE STAMP!
I have said before, this current AVERAGE squad is over acheiving when we are in the top 6, (never mind top 2). We are showing our actual potential languishing in our current position of 11th. We will never improve the squad while Bates is in charge because he wont invest in the playing squad. Instead of shelling out £7-8million on the East stand upgrade in "readiness for Premiership football" that money should have been used on the team & some of the money earned from promotion spent on the ground.
