Has anyone else noticed their activity bar has gone a bit strange today? I've posted quite a few time today but its saying 0% activity. Also in my profile it saying this for yesterday 12/01/2012 08:53 PM SandyHornet has earned 59 Points for Posts points - can't think what I could have done to get this many points. Is this because of the server change??? Ooooh just remembered something else, loads of my images have disappeared from my image library? Were they removed when the new server was put in place. Not a problem, can easily reload them back on.
That's good news! I've just made a post about the activity stuff and all that malarky...it's been gone since the server change, and is being looked into at the mo Will update you when i get more info. Meanwhile, the pictures you've uploaded can be found via the control panel 'Control panel - miscellaneous - attachements' and yes, something to do with the server too! Very painful!
Afternoon Nesties, I'm bored and it's nearly home time so drinks are on the bar!!! Lets all hope for a cracking match Saturday and heading 3 points up the table. COYH!!!
Evening All, I see the bar is open. Spent the day in Limoges where the sun was shining and it didn't feel cold, although as we sat in a window seat for lunch I could see that most people that were passing were well wrapped up. Returned my 3G thingy to the shop and was asked how I got on with it. To be polite I simply said it was very, very slow unless I sat on the top of the hill. Everyone says that she says, they are not very good. In my mail today I find that they will supply a signal booster that amplifies a 3G signal round your home. They say that with many houses having thick walls in the country lots of people have very slow phones. The company claims to cover 95% of France with the mobile service, yet I suppose I could be included in their numbers despite having something that only worked when the wind was in the right direction. Looking forward to being able to listen to commentary tomorrow although I guess that I might find a stream somewhere. A month without Jon Marks is not good when he is your main contact with the games.
grabbing a drink before i go and cook...water it should be but since this is virtual, i'll have a double gin and orange Oh dear, if the lady in the shop thinks they're rubbish, that's not a great sign, is it M Frenchie! I hope you find a stream or can hear Mr Marks loud and clear tomorrow ...i'll be around too, as i can't go to the game...but i'll miss the last 10 mins or so...grr!
Evening all. Back finally, it took about 4:30:00 do deliver 91 parcels and pick up 5. I wont be doing it again soon!! Although i will enjoy the money from it. How is everyone??
welcome back hon ..all good here...Josh Walker went on a free to Scunny, and then it became a loan, there's loads of bids for Sordell but SD says we don't need to sell cheap, Nos hasn't been bought as a replacement for Mariappa...hmm, i think that's it for today, so far!
ohhh, good news then. If the rumours are true about WH offering 2.5mill then thats BS!!!! Allerdyce can take a running jump!!
OFH - 3G in France is crap. Even in Paris it's not very good - our mobile application for engineers needs a good 3G connection and they are struggling to find good connections in Paris as well. Unless we can secure a better connection, it's back to the drawing board and develop a solution for 600 engineers!
Well I am trying to stay awake, I have just 3 early starts for my day shifts 0530 now got 2 night shifts, so I am being a brave little airman and trying to stay awake till at least 11pm, we shall see
I was given a book at Christmas on Watford in the 20th century. This is the first part of three charting how the town and surrounding areas have changed. Written by the great Ollie it calls on newspaper articles and reports from the Watford Observer. If you have a chance to get a copy it is well worth the read. Anyway either side of the first world war, Watford had a successful football team, but every year it had to be broken up, with players being sold to pay off the losses that the club had run up. One chairman asked the question, "Can Watford ever support a football team." In one season the team won 22 out of it's 38 games but still made a loss of over £1000. I am not quite sure what that would equate to these days, but I guess a heafty amount. These were in the days prior to the club moving to the Vic. and if Benskins hadn't bailed them out several times we would not have had a club today.
