I have been speaking to Danny for the third time this week today and I tried to persuade him to join Facebook or Twitter so that he can talk to the fans but he does not really like social networking websites, but he said he will consider it after I said it would be great with the support you get, He said that I should ask you on Not606 and if it is a yes he may join, but which one Facebook or Twitter, There is two days to get in your views and if it is a yes then he may join, hope it is a yes as I could talk to him more often as sometimes I go a while without talking to him.
It is open, I think he should join both, he is a very family man and facebook would be good for him as many of his family are on there, his two sisters are both on there and his his little nephew who goes to my school is on there, he is good at football by the way.

His injury is bad, broken rib, but he is a strong man and he says that he hopes he can play, he said training was ok, but it was light.
Probably best not to risk him from the start. Perhaps we could bring him on after an hour if we need a goal? Hopefully we'll be two goals up, and won't need him, and he can rest until our next game. He's been great for us so far this season.
Really he should be resting for a few weeks and he knows that, but he has been talking to a doctor today about the risks and how he can avoid them and he hopes he should be OK, but he knows that if he damages his ribs again while they are repairing, it could become much worse and then he could have to have an operation, I personally think he should be rested for a game or two, that is the most he would rest, I know him to well to know that he would not cope with being left out too long due to an injury, he hates that sort of thing, he like to play, play, play.
As great as it would be talking to Danny on either twitter or fb, I think there are a couple of bad points too. With strikers it's all about Morale and if anything negative was ever posted up I'm unsure how detrimental it could be towards that players form. He's a gills fan and I love the guy but I think if he does he should only sign up to facebook as it's more private. Please wish Danny all the best Hoadie, he deserves a bit of rest after the amount of running he's been doing this season!
Agree with bristol, leave him alone. If he really wanted to interact with fans on a larger scale, he would already be there. I'm pretty sure having either wouldn't make him talk to his family more. As my fellow lad said, there are bad points to it. He would be on a much much lower scale than say Wayne Rooney, so it would be a lot harder to ignore any negativity on something such as Twitter.
A lot of Gillingham players are on twitter, I do not know whether they are on facebook. However, I have to be honest and say that I find it really hard to believe that he would be wanting us to run a poll on it. In the politest sense why would you hassle a friend like that, give the guy space to breath. Tell him to join not606 instead

In regards to signing up to Not606 he would not sign up to a forum as in the past he got abused on one by sets of other fans. He said thanks for an invite and he would be more likely to join upto Twitter, he did not ask me to do a poll he just said to ask Gillingham fans what they thought.
Right he has said that he will consider over the next few weeks if it is worth the hassle, he may join Twitter, but not facebook, but he is worried that he may get abuse from some of the fans from some of his old clubs. He said to me to thank you all on here for saying you would love to talk to him and that you are considering it from his point of view, but he don't really like talking on line, he is a face to face person. I won't say anything else to him about this now, just passed on the message to thank him for his work so far and to hope that he recovers in time.

He said he would have to have a word with Luke on this one, but where would you like to chat Blue rock or somewhere else, and if he did agree he would like others not to know as he don't want others who have problems with him harassing him. What did you think the answer was going to be? Only texting him at the minute, Have loads of texts to use before the end of the month so wanna get them used up, did not have much credit either and he has been out most of the day so could not ring him by Landline, he is a quick texter and I thought I was fast, he replies after around a minute with a massive one.
