No thanks mate. Mind it's bloody windy again here, and we have had a few flakes of snow but nothing serious. Is Ivan about to open the fridge door?
I see the frost is threatening racing tomorrow, Kempton and Wetherby having precautionary inspections and Warwick covering the whole course.
RV: Think you may be too young to remember but there was a jumper called Pyjama Game (I think it was) who finished 4th in the National, if my old memory serves me correct. Its owner was quite young, made his fortune early in life, then proceeded to give it all to the bookies. He backed his horse out of sight e/w for the National and came out with his famous comment after the race - "Pyjama Game needs 5-miles". Going from memory, so maybe I've screwed-up on a few facts, hope not! Have a good weekend and back all the winners. I had better save my shekels for Cheltenham, I'm the best "stopper" on the forum at the moment!
RV, funny I can see Ericht running a massive race at the festival at big odds, because he needs a proper pace to run against.
Evening all, Been in meetings all day in- so havnt had a chance to come on- Just got home. Another good day it looks like. Well done shearer on the massive winner, we are a very lucky forum, In fact I dont thinks its luck- we are the #1 tipping forun if I say so my self and well done to Red mr consistent! with his picks. Didnt have a bet today but cant wait for tomorrow!
Nass he is not good enough imo. The Champion Bumper form from last season is well poor. Don't rate anything from the race at all even Cinders And Ashes. The 2nd got smashed up off All The Aces on hurdling debut the 3rd has been beaten at 4/7 and 3/10 over hurdles the 4th ran shocking at Punchestown poor form and Ericht has been very disappointing so far over hurdles
RV: The guy's name was Terry Ramsden, and he made and lost his fortune during the '80s. Here's a clip: http://www.scotsman.com/news/legendary_punters_terry_ramsden_lost_163_58m_in_three_years_1_1357500
Intresting how Ruby is riding in Ireland tomorrow- anyone know reasons why. Saturday is usually a shoo in for him to ride in england!!
I would think it is because the racing here is poor and the ones that are decent have massive fields. Over in Ireland he is riding a horse with Triumph Hurdle claims a potential top notcher in Allure Of Illusion and has a very good ride in the 1.55
Wouldn't call it poor mate - nice mixture of novice heats and handicaps. That'll do me very nicely for a Saturday afternoon
He probably knows Kempton is going to be off. We know this is the case when Barney Clifford says this "If we get frost and then a morning cloud cover or a mist then we could be in danger so I thought it best to check." usually when its -20 he is confident it will go ahead. HELMET
