What you all think lads? We have quite a few options with regards to the team that will vs Chelsea on saturday. I am going with.... ---------------------- Mignolet ----------------------- -- Gardner ------ O'Shea ---- Kilgallon ---- Richardson - -------- Larsson ---- Cattermole ---- Vaughan -------- --- Sessegnon ------- Bendtner ---------- McClean --- subs Bardsley Turner Westwood Colback Elmohamady Wickham Ji (would give Campbell anyother week away from first team action) going for a 1-1 Ha'Way the Lads edit - Colback is out for a month so would bring Meyler into the squad - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16529227.stm
Will Bardo lose his place to Gardner ? Tough call, but I dont think so. If fit, I would play COlback at LB, with Ricco on the bench. Otherwise looks good.
---------------------- Westwood----------------------- ----- Gardner ----- O'Shea ----- Kilgallon ----- Richardson Sessegnon -- Larsson -- Cattermole -- Vaughan -- McClean ----------------------- Bendtner
Very difficult but I would go for our strongest side which I think is just about this: ---------------------- Mignolet ----------------------- -- Bardsley ------ O'Shea ---- Brown ---- Richardson - -------- Larsson ---- Cattermole ---- Vaughan -------- --- Sessegnon ------- Wickham ---------- McClean --- Subs: Westwood Killgalon Meyler Gardener Elmohamady Bendtner Ji Tough on Gardener as I think he has been excellent recently, but if we need someone to change the game he is a great person to bring on. Bardo is our best right back, unfortunately Colback is injured so Richardson is the best option at LB, I would like to see him further forward but needs must. If Brown and Wickham are still injured then I would bring in Bendtner and Killgallon.
Think he will stick with last weeks team. Sess upfront on his own, pack the midfield and hope to sneak a winning goal with Mclean.
Ricco would go no where near the defence if I picked the team, I quite like him in more advanced roles but think he's truly awful at full back. He was made to look poor by Peterborough. Chelsea would eat him for breakfast.
4-3-3, away, against Chelsea? Come on man. Even 4-4-2 is too overly attacking for most teams nevermind 4-3-3 with the quality Chelsea possess in midfield.
Gardner at RB and Bardsley at LB. Sessegnon in the pocket giving Terry fits. He'd be wasted out wide.
It's simple.... --------------------- Mig----------------------- Gardner ---- O'Shea --- Killa --- Bardsley Larsson --- Vaughan -- Catts -- McClean ------------------- Sess ---------------------- ----------------- Bendtner ------------------- I honestly think that's our strongest team, more or less.. It worked against Man City, didn't it?
If I go somewhere and I'm repeatedly made to feel unwelcome, I tend not to go back there. tag <Chappedarse has issues>
after thinking about this, i would say Gardner at RB and Ricco at LB. Shame for Bardo, but I just dont think he offers enough on the attack. Gardner (vs man city) did a good job defensively but also made us much more threatening on the counter attack when breaking down the right or middle. Bardo might be slightly better defensively but wont offer as near as much on the the break.
