Score it like samir, I told you they choose the game order before hand...... 1945: Talking of Match of the Day, here's a running order: Arsenal v Sunderland Fulham v Blackburn Birmingham v West Brom Bolton v Aston Villa West Ham v Stoke Newcastle v Everton Man City v Wigan Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9412394.stm
Yeah, they choose before hand, which is a silly idea to be honest, It's so predictable too. I remember once on MOTD 2 they pulled the games out of a hat just to change it up. They should do it that way more often.
Yeah there were three games, Bolton came on first coz of it Nah, looks like West Ham should be further up and so should Bolton's. And why is Man City last?
I guess cos City was the late KO so it gave them more time to edit the footage. That, and it was 3rd vs 20th so probably not expected to be a very interesting or competitive match...
They don't choose beforehand! Arsenal 0-0 Sunderland was a 'shock' result. They're always first. Do you think, for example, that 'Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal' was picked to be the first game before they realised what the score was, especially with Wolves vs Man United? What about 'Portsmouth 7-4 Reading' ? Yeah, they definitely picked that out and said 'THIS MUST BE FIRST NO MATTER WHAT THE SCORE'
They choose after the results are in. The MOTD editor himself described the decision process - it's usually a case of the matches with the greatest impact on the leadership first, followed by the most entertaining / shocking results and then the rest: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/sporteditors/2006/09/better_late_than_never_we_hope.html
