Howard Franklin Taylor* Marquez Dunivant Beckham Frings Donovan - - - Keane - - - Henry Dzeko *That is Steven Taylor, all the American CBs are expensive and he has decent chemistry with Howard/Beckham.
Just started a new head to head season as Newcastle and I get Liverpool twice in a row and real madrid in my first three game! The Madrid bloke was a right dick, the type who thinks he's the bees knees because he can do a few roulette's with ronaldo. I scored first but on the 45th minute he had a corner, crossed it in, deflected and hit Tiote and because FIFA is a joke sometimes, Tiote walked it into the net even though I was pulling back on the trigger sweating like a lesbian in the fish isle of sainburys. Then he just kept finesse shooting with ronaldo from outside the box until it paid off. As soon as he got a goal he done that stupid thing where he gets his players to just stand with the ball until I go to them.
^ Joke's on him, he's got Messi and Ronaldo out of position... Also, I got my Lille team to the CL knockout rounds on FM! Group was Bayern, Napoli, Benfica, got through on goals scored.
Nice one. I remember you saying about that CL group awhile back and 3rd place would've been the target.
It was really, and I failed to win any of my first 4 games . Beat Napoli and Benfica in the last two and qualified with 1 more goal scored than Napoli. Probably would have had a better shot in the Europa League, but I'll take it.
Good work, what year are you in? I've just got into the Champers for the first time with Standard Liege (my 2 full season with them about to start, after promoting San Marino from C2/A to Serie A, 3 promotions in 4 years), it's August 2017.
I've cheated a bit so I only have two silvers, but Henry, Donovan and Keane (who is an incredibly good finisher on FIFA) is a great front 3.
Awesome. I'm only in my first season, only got the game at Christmas. Picked Lille because they were only predicted a 6th place finish and I would be able to play CL football. Top of the league though and signing Vertonghen in January. I was about to complain about how difficult it is to sign players in Ligue 1 but I cant imagine it's any easier at Standard Liege?
There aren't any rules to the team the only reason i had a bronze is because he was cheap and i only had a few coins left! Those 3 are unbelievable though, my team's set up so i can only have one in at a time (all of mine are CF's) but whichever i have always scores for me. I think there're a few MLS in forms actually (Donovan, Beckham, De Rosario), i might need to save up and invest in one just for complete coverage of card types!
I pretty much only sign teenagers, my highest 3 fees I've paid have been 2 £1.7m guys and the £900k. Careful with my cash! I also refuse to sell. But it seems to work. One of my San Marino players was signed by Barcelona at the end of the season after I left (he was loaned out though). I signed him for £200k, they sold him for £800k I think, ridiculously low price for 4.5 stars potential (and that was when I scouted him at Standard).
I'm currently playing Career Mode with the Mighty Huddersfield Town. Won League and League Cup in 1st season, signed a few free's and loaned Lacazette from Lyon, who turned out to be a goal machine. Started my 2nd season, lost in EURO cup qualifiers to Getafe which was painful, also lost 2 of my opening Championship fixtures. On a plus I have Arsenal away in League Cup to start this year :/ Wish me luck.
I need to buy the position modifiers but I play all three behind Dzeko in a 4-2-3-1. The defenders are silvers/in forms and cost a fortune though! I just put Howard in goal and Stevie Taylor at centre back (chemistry with Howard and Beckham). I dont have a huge budget but I have some very sellable players if I need some money, for example Sow is playing poorly and a striker I'd never heard of (Jelen) has already hit 20 for the season by January so I can sell Sow for a nice price if I ever need the cash. When/if I ever sell Hazard, I can get nearly 30 million as well which would be nice. Prefer to keep him though.
