I see there is someone on the smb who rekons the djib is considering coming back onloan for the second half of the season as things aint working out at Lazio (esp. with there fans).

Now this is probably utter rubbish but if true would it be a good signing?

I loved Djib when he was at the club and the return of Jones and then the managerial change ruined his form at the club. He was outstanding as the lone striker while Jones was injured and would flourish in the formation MoN likes to play with the lone striker with the two, quick, direct wide players getting up alongside him. People like to blame the fact he went off the boil when he wasn't guaranteed were his future would lie but there was more than that IMO as I have stated at the start of this paragraph. Keane and the lone striker role which he played early on certainly got the best out of him.

Could be exactly what we need

Vid of Djib since he left us

Do you think there was any truth in the rumours about him causing upset in the team? If so, I don't know whether I'd want him back, especially as the team have now done that elusive task of 'gelling'

That video shows some good goals and some "Right plazce right time" goals - I think the only thing we need now is the right place right time man who can score the occasional good goal... Although I'm not too sure about going back on old ground mind!!

Billy, that's 2 of us mate. I thought he was excellent for us but like a few others in that team, he did fade 2nd half of the campaign.

He is a true big game player and him and sessegnon would be pretty special imo. I'd take him over all the current names mentioned.

What was that thing people were saying about MON and attitude? ...I still think there's a -?- over his petulance when things weren't going in his favour.

Makes 3 of us then. Can't believe we kept Jones and got rid of "Le Djib". I'd drive to Rome now to bring him back.

Id defo have him back, always gave his all and is a cracking fox in the box style player. Same as O'Neill in that his passion and will to win is visable every time he plays. Must also say id luv 2play in the greek league, seems refs r giving penaltys away like therz no 2moro! Andy Johnson would be in his element!

Class player but thought he was egotistical.

Wants to be top dog imo. Anybody upstages him and the toys come out of the pram, however, like stated earlier in thread would take him over Heskey, Zamora, Johnson etc

I've always been against bringing back old players but as a loan deal I'd have to say yes. Mon is a great man manager and I think he would get the best from Cisse

I would definatley have him back, I think he would do well here 2. He has never seen us lose a Wear Tyne Derby either, not to mention he has a 100% strike rate against them.

    Yes from me.

I´ve mentioned this a few times.

    Wayward, oddball, unpredictable.

The man was class, and a great character.

There was rumours him and Kenwyne didn´t get on, not the whole team, and he never turned his back on us, we declined the option to sign him for €10million, justified as he went to Panathinaikos for half that.

Yes from me, another player who was mis-managed.
