Nice to see Livermore learning from those around him.
    http://www.london24.com/sport/totte...powers_of_parker_modric_and_sandro_1_1175501?

"I think everyone's got their own style of play, but every time I watch Scotty [Parker] play I take bits from him," he said. "In my eyes he's England main man and if I can take bits of him, bits of Luka and bits of Sandro then you can only learn, playing amongst these sort of players. You'd have one hell of a player if you could put those three together!"

Exactly what I want to hear.
He's got the benefit of being surrounded by top notch players, so he has to take advantage of that, watch what they do well and try to integrate some of it into his own game.
It's great to hear that he's trying to emulate Parker, as I believe that he's the player whose style he's closest to and that he can learn the most from.

Just a thought, what if we were to win the title in our penultimate game against Villa? The match against Fulham would become some bizarre love-in with Jol, Simon Davies, Steven Kelly, Danny Murphy and Bobby Zamora there.

Okay, maybe not Zamora, the grumpy sod...

Oh don't - how much would I love for us to visit Jol's new gaffe as champions? Maybe Fulham would have nothing to play for either and it'd just be a feast of football with both teams turning on the ole stuff and the Spurs fans singing Jol's name. I still love Martin Jol and I'm pretty sure he still loves me.

Oh God - I think I'm at one of the most happy and sentimental points in my entire Spurs-supporting career. The image I'm getting in my head when I think about Spurs now is sort of full of rainbows and My Little Ponies.

This is not natural. I am a Spurs supporter!

Unless you are the age of Bigsmithy or GH10, then this is new territory for all of us. My concentration is shot at the moment (and in case GH10 is reading this, I meant shot)

Come to think of it, winning it at Villa would be a tad harsh on Hutton and Jenas.

    So do it!!!

Jenas is back at Spurs now after his injury. I know it's difficult to know where he is - even when he was on the pitch it was tricky at times. Wonder if the cheeky sod would be part of the celebrations if we won it?

Got to feel sort of sorry for him really. I've often felt a bit sorry for him - he just always seemed like someone who wasn't all that happy being a footballer. He never looked like he was enjoying himself.

It's hardly surprising JJ hasn't enjoyed a lot of his time at Spurs, considering the disgraceful treatment he's received from many of our so-called 'supporters'.

However, I wouldn't feel too sorry for him, millionaire, beautiful girlfriend(s), mansion in Essex, etc, etc.

I've thought that before - mainly due to a comment or two about Jenas. Could this be confirmed?

I don't know if it is GS or not, but it kinda proves his point, if it is.
Someone stands up for Jenas and everyone instantly knows which Spurs fan he is! <laugh>

Just for the record I'm not Grandspurs, nor a Jenas lover.

Just someone who can't stand the disgusting treatment some of our fans have given various players over the years, Jenas, Armstrong, YP Lee and Bent for example. Armstrong probably got it worst, but the attacks on all of them have been indefensible, and have saddened me greatly.

Gary Doherty is another who has received a lot of unfair attacks over the years, prior to his awful injury from a terrible, terrible tackle, he was a decent player.

I have every sympathy with that. Are you just talking abut getting on their back during a game? Cos short of the most extreme circumstances that's always idiotic and I basically couldn't hardly even imagine wanting to, never mind doing it.

If you mean that you can't stand the slating of players in pubs or in forums then maybe you're just a nicer person than me and I wouldn't want to argue that you shouldn't feel that way. But I can't help thinking that some players are just a bit crap. I hope I'm not nasty about it, though.

    Agreed lenny,

I don't remember anyone ever giving Jenas a bad reception while he's been playing. He is a decent footballer, and has scored some important goals for us, but I feel a lot of Spurs fans are just a bit miffed that he never really lived up to his potential, when he arrived at Spurs he was one of the next big prospects in British football, but he just seemed to plateau while with us.

I think that we as a club have progressed since we brought JJ in, while he has stayed at practically the same level. A great squad player for us now, but nothing more.

The season he played with Carrick, he was class. Just seem to drift away after that. GH10 - was just a joke about being GS. No reason you shouldn't be though, not like he is here under that name and using a dual account.

Still that's where your lack of Spurs knowledge lets you down LDL, before that terrible injury he most definitely wasn't ****.
