Are there any Brutalism apologists here that want to risk outing themselves?

Who in the name of all gods ever conceived thought that this was a style worth ****ting all over the planet?:

Coming from Sheffield where we boast the largest listed and worst builiding in Europe, I 100% concur.

<laugh> Yeah it really is utterly hideous. The worst thing about these buildings is that after it rains once, maximum twice, the concrete is permanently stained with dripping water just for that extra special dystopian cesspool look.

Wow! Would adore to see this place in my lifetime.

This is not a building, but its still something I'd love to be built. Probably heard of it...

The mile long ship, or Freedom Ship as it has become known. A floating city, complete with air and sea ports

Barbican is hideous in my opinion. That picture is supremely flattering.

This is more like it <whistle>:

<laugh> I don't so much mind it in your picture in terms of shape, you have to ignore the hideous brown painted metal, resin bound gravel walls and looming tower of death in the background though.

The worlds first billion dollar house:

please log in to view this image

India's richest man, and Forbes's fourth richest man, Mukesh Ambani, has built the world's most expensive house in Mumbai. It is estimated to be worth $1 billion.

The lavish building– named Antilia, after the mythical island– has 27 stories, is 173 meters high and has 37,000 square meters of floor space — more than the Palace of Versailles. It contains a health club with a gym and dance studio, at least one swimming pool, a ballroom, guestrooms, a variety of lounges and a 50-seater cinema. There are three helicopter pads on the roof and a car park for 160 vehicles on the ground floors. It's obviously quite a job keeping all this running smoothly, so the house, if you can call it that, also boasts a staff of 600. And all this for just Ambani, his wife and their three children to enjoy

EDIT: His Brother Anil Ambani was linked with NUFC many moons ago.
