    Well, I fold.

Seriously though that bus lane screw up is just perfect <laugh>. I'll wager that there's a policeman parked alongside the road daily just waiting for somebody to snap.

I have to admit, all these lovely structures make me want to go back into engineering..... Starting to miss working in that environment now :(

<laugh> 9 or 10 is seriously good going. It was always the 12% Westmalles that ended my nights.

    This is amazing.

I lived just off Micklegate inside the walls a few years ago, York is just crammed full of gorgeous English architecture. I think I'm alone on this one, nobody else agreed with me, but I think the Aviva building on the river is actually amazing as hell. One of my favourite buildings in the city (barring the cathedral obviously).

I quite like the Aviva building too. It does fit in with the usual architecture that you find here.

I quite like the newest of the Aviva buildings. There is something about it, it has character. The old one is a bit of an eyesore!

Was up the top of the Burj about three weeks ago . Amazing views. Then went to see Mission Impossible to find out they filmed their scenes there.

As QWOP says, fits in neatly with the surrounding buildings while making sure its modernism is printed onto the riverside.

Does it actually function or is it there to look pretty? The best thing Strensall has is a small shopping annex with a clock on top!

I think its there to just look pretty. Although, I think it is capable of being fully functioning. They should turn it into a nice little museum. Then Holgate will become a tourist heaven. What with the Cold War Bunker, the Windmill, and people obviously wanting to see the areas in which Eternal Law was filmed

Apologies if this has been posted - I can't get on the first page of comments as my filter at work reckons there's porn in it - wouldn't put it past you lot. Anyway, this is the most amazing building I've ever seen, I was stood just staring at it for good 5 mins totally speechless. Unfortunately pictures don't do it justice, go see it if you get a chance.
