I had him on loan on my Hartlepool carrer on FM12 .. disrupted the morale of my whole squad in about a month so gave him back.. need i say anymore?

Jokes aside i would take a risk.. if Pardew bid then he clearly thinks he can sort him out, i certainly wouldn't mind having the next big thing at Newcastle.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him arrive here, signing problem players in the hope you can change them is a good idea as you can get them relatively cheap, it can backfire of course.

This lad is definitely worth a punt.

He seems to be getting restless at the lack of first team opportunities at Man United, and as a Man United fan, I cant blame him when players like Carrick and Gibson are still ahead of him.

He is a natural talent and a box to box midfielder with genuine pace, energy, aggression and skill. He doesn't have the technique that Scholes has, but he is probably the most naturally gifted player to emerge from our ranks since Scholes.

It's a shame that the club have lost patience with him, but little surprise that they are trying to sell him before the summer (when he can leave for free) and insert a contract clause that will entitle them to a percentage of his future transfer fees.

He'll either be the next Gazza/Gerrard or the next Charles Bronson.

Maybe a change of scenery would do him the power of good. so is he a centre mid primarily then? my only worry would be having him and ben arfa in the same side. they'd either be the ultimate or they'd be scrapping every week. ben arfa has kept his nose clean so far but is definitely combustable. this kid just sounds like a flat out nut case.

Is that the only source or is anywhere else claiming this...is this just speculation or is there some concrete link?

He's an attack minded midfielder who likes to drop deep to collect the ball and charge up the field with it. I can't see him being a natural partner for Ben Arfa but Cabaye or Tiote would be a more natural fit. He's had 2 run ins with the law already, but trust me, Fergie is loathe to let him go.

Check out some of the youtube clips of him, especially the one where he helps overturn a 2-0 deficit against Liverpool in the FA Youth Cup last season. He can be devastating.

    Please say it ain't truueee!

No doubt the lad has bags of natural ability and is very skilled, but he's a grade A ****!
He makes Nike Ranger look like a saint if you read just some of the stuff he's done. There's no hope for this guy, hes a waster. If you can't give your all for a team like man utd what hope does he have elsewhere?

We've tried changing a kids surroundings eg Ranger, it doesn't work.

Gangs, guns, threats when stuff has gone to court... Never mind just being late for training.

    Do not want.

I think there are two things that may work in Newcastle's favour in this situation.

    1) Not being offered a new contract is a wake-up call for Morrison. He probably thought his ability was enough to keep him at the club and he is about to find out the hard way that it isn't.

    2) Should he move away from Manchester, he will be far away from the social reprobates that he struggles to shake off and that are dragging him down and getting him into trouble.

The whiff of a second chance for him, at this stage might be enough. Pardew could offer a one-year deal and tell him its now or never.

I suppose it might be a bit more of a slap in the face for Morrison. After his messing about at Southampton, Nile probably thought that he was untouchable by being picked up by a premiership team. It was almost condoning his behaviour.

Morrison's being let go by the reigning champions, it might give him something to prove.

You sure you're not getting him confused with a Liverpool fringe player?

Completely agree, how can he not realise that he is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world? Its really frustrating to see kids throw away amazing opportunities (like ranger)

99% of people in the stadium on match day, here on the forums every day and that walk around town in their Newcastle shirts would give their left testicle, play for free and through blood, sweat and tears just to play for the club.

It's baffling to see someone who can actually do it clearly not feel the same and not want to put the effort it.

I doubt Fergie would let a good player leave. Especially a young one, with a bright future. I'd say no.
