XI hit back for QPR draw
    11 January 2012

Our Spurs XI team came from 2-0 down to secure a 2-2 draw in a friendly against QPR on Wednesday afternoon.

Dean Parrett (pictured) inspired the comeback with a goal and assist at QPR's Harlington training ground.

Rangers scored two early goals and led 2-0 at the break. Parrett curled home a free-kick for 2-1 on the hour and then set-up Cameron Lancaster for the equaliser, the striker controlling his pass before finishing.

"We were poor in the first half, conceded two early goals but started to get into the game on the half-hour mark," reported Technical Co-Ordinator Tim Sherwood.

"It wasn't the best of performances but we came back well, players got minutes on the pitch and it was a chance to blow away the cobwebs in our first game for a while."

I know for a fact Mark Hughes attended this match to run the rule over our fringe players.

So if any of you know who played and scored for us, please post. Shame that our official site doesn't have a report in it yet.

Not sure if we'll be having too many more of these regular behind doors friendlies with Spurs now that Arry's mate Neil is no longer at the club...

Good to see Troy Hewitt scoring at a decent level. I wonder if he'll get a shot at the FA Cup game against MK Dons.

have to say that one massive positive for the strikers is that with MH in charge, they should have amanagerthey can lean from. Hopefully, Hewitt will end up going out on loan maybe to league on side for the experience
