We didn't have one creative player on the pitch today.

I'm not the biggest fan of Guthrie, but why was he left on the bench when he was our most creative option?

If not Guthrie, then why not Ireland? He has been training this week, so he must be in some sort of playing condition.

We HAD to risk Ireland, or go with Guthrie. Dissapointed today.

    Mehh, frustrating game.

To be honest, there would have been no point in risking players today- it was a pretty shoddy performance by the whole team today, Jonas made some good runs towards the end and Harper stopped it from being a rowt. But that's about it really, put it behind us.

I dont think Guthries fully fit and Irelands apparently picked up another injury in training

I disagree. we created a lot, Nolan got into loads of positions, what we didn't have was either quality or luck!

Really played into Everton's hands with all the crosses into the box.. Needed someone like Ireland or Ben Arfa to get at them through the middle..

Nolan is ****.. I'm sorry people he's more of a AM than a actual CM.. lacks pace, tackling is rash at times and really lacks technique. Guthrie should play ahead of him or even Barton.

Ive said this all along, and I completely agree, but his goals and leadership are something we cant afford to miss.

We created a fair few chances, but we didn't get that slice of luck we needed, Nolan found himself in a few decent positions but just couldn't get the ball to drop for him. Put it behind us and move on, still with winnable home games like Birmingham, Wolves & West Brom to come.

The team felt a little patched up. Simpson right wing, then left back. Then three at the back. We needed to gamble on a player, wheather that be Guthrie (who was fit enough for the bench), Ireland, or even one of our Youngsters. Not sure if there injured or not, but what about Vukic, Inman, Donaldson?

And I have read that Ireland is out for another month? If so, send him back.

I think that is key...Take Manure:

Get rid of their top goal scorer (Berba/Carroll).
Get rid of their top assist player (Nani/Barton) and replace him with (Fabio/Simpson).
    Take (Evra/Enrique) out through injury.
With arguably 2 first team starters also out (Hargreaves and Valencia/Ireland and Ben Arfa)

And the FA would **** a brick, probably give them special dispensation!

When you look at the team overall, we were never really settled and had players playing out of position, not worrying yet as we had some decent chances, just annoyed there's a two week break untill we can get a response... more time for injury recovery I guess...

Gutierrez was fantastic today, seriously, ran them ragged the entire game and put in some decent crosses aswell, just the lazy ****s he was playing with didnt make a single run or attempt to get on the end of it. Shocking.

If lover is starting in the next game I will try. Unless Pards literally has no other choice due to injuries.

Lovenkrands sucks. Hard. May as well have been playing with 10 men for 90 mins.

Agreed. Thought we should off tried to get him on the ball more though, especially since Hibbert was on a yellow. I think Pardews got him working on his crosses as well, which is great news.
