the height of ambition for our club should be expressed by our wishfully hoping that we will succeed, not so much by our club improving, but by another club failing

Just about sums up the Spuds season. You are where you are moreso because others have been below par rather than your slight improvement in form.

That's a surprisingly fair and unbiased comment <ok>

On balance, I think you are probably right. Whilst we do have some injury woes, we also have a few players returning from injury, plus we have the opportunity to strengthen in this window, if Harry thinks it necessary. Your troubles certainly run a lot deeper, although you do still have a quality squad. [/B]Confidence seems to be your biggest worry.

Correct. Same problem as last season

Banter and rivalry aside, Spurs will be fine and for me are pretty much bankers for top 4. They are performing well and are consistent. They are much more a team than we are at present though I would say our squad is better though that is not showing in results at the moment.

Spurs are also out of Europe meaning they can pretty much just concentrate on the league with maybe the odd f.a cup game which will aid them no end compared to the other 4 who are all still in Europe.

You have to say Spurs have done very well in the league so far but to do so pretty much conceded Europe and the league cup. If Spurs get back into C.L for next season I suspect their league form will suffer like it did last year. Being able to balance strong league AND european campaigns plus picking up a trophy here and there is something only United and Chelsea have been able to do for the last 7-8 years. Spurs have a long way to go yet.

Don't think anyone is banker for top 4 out of AFC, CFC, LFC, THFC; football can change so quickly but agree they are strong bet for top 4. Along with us! They are a better team than us at the mo

You and Chelsea are on almost exactly the same as last season. We're over 10 points better off. Slight improvement, indeed :D

We're not celebrating beating Everton, we're celebrating being joint 2nd 3 points off top and 9 points above the Gooners. It was a good performance though <ok>

Good time to play City at the moment. Especially with Kompany out. Lucky you!

Being serious here, i actually think Spurs might win the league lol. Man citys are ****ing awful at the moment and their slowly beginning to show their true lack of depth without a few big name players and i think the loss of the toures is going to hurt them a lot aswell and they could well have a major blip coming up, Man u in all honestly however much their fans want to deny it are ****ing ****, they have no creativity and are so much slower compared to the beginning of the season/end of last season, and were already 11points behind and we haven't connected to our future team yet. Whereas spurs are playing like a team and unlike last season are grinding out results and when they have most of their full team there playing unbeatable stuff to be honest, and if i wasn't a chelsea fan i know who i'd be putting my money on for the league. Shocking that i'm actually thinking this but it's the truth and i can honestly see them finishing very very close
