Is there a lack of quality available or does Hughes have some aces up his sleeve!

Alreeet lads, back after a short trip to Holland and noticed that all the players we are mostly linked with are the same as who Neil was after (rumoured). Hughes is a higher profile name so may have a better chance of attracting these players. I hope we can get 1 or 2 in time for Newcastle as a loss would be such an anticlimax!

Think you could be right on that one 1982. I think there will be a few noses put out of joint with Hughes in charge which may not be a bad thing. hope Taraabt comes back and gives his all to impress.

agreed. i may be an optimist, but i can't see tarbs being sold without hughes having a look at him, meaning he'll be here until at least the summer.

Only in a spurs shirt will he be seen at loftus rd. Could do with a cb, lb,cm and cf as priorities

I reckon MH was lined up some time ago and the more i think about it i reckon the players we are after were never NW's choice but MH all along.

Personally I think Hughes will give him a chance, but he doesn't strike me as a fellow who would put up with half time bus trips and sulking fits. We shall see

Thing is I ain't expecting instant miracles from Hughes. Took some time to kick start both Blackburn and Fulham...

 

Hughes seems a no nonsense bloke but then again i would have put warnock in that bracket aswell
