Would I have taken 1v0? Yup.

Didnt play great but we only wanted a win - not that likely if you consider our last trip there.

    Job done!

To be fair, if Kompany got a red, Johnson should have...I would have let them both go personally, but there's zero consistancy these days.

I thought first half we played great, passed it around City easily and looked comfortable. Second half we just sat back, played negatively and invited them on. Two substitutions brought off attacking players for defenders - really don't know why. I thought he'd have brought more energy on to control the middle of the park, not just sit back with 10 men behind the ball.

Like I've suspected all season, City are ****e without Silva. I never really felt that they would/could score tonight. Good win.

Well done lads. Tactics absolutely spot on.

t's nothing to do with the performance - it's all about the result.

Johnson's would have been a red too if Rooney's grotesque face had been up in the refs face calling for a card.

I look at it the other way round - if Johnson's wasn't even a foul, neither was Kompany's

I guess there's been plenty of matches this season where we've played well but not got a positive result so in that respect it's good to see this one end the other way around

Funny all this talk about City missing Silva, Kompany and Toure. What about us not having Lucas, Suarez or Enrique in the starting XI?

Indeed it's like Kompany said: There would be an increase in red cards if his is a red card

By the way: everyone talks about Carrol & Torres; but how happy should Arsenal be about throwing Nasri away for quite a few Mill!!!

Spot on mate,Lawrenson makes me sick for an ex-player of ours, kissing city's arses and rabbiting on about them missing players and like you point out we're missing a couple or three ourselves.

Great result but performances like that in the second half aren't good for my old ticker. I don't think we needed to let them come at us as much as we did, we showed in the first we can outplay them if we try.
Of course, we outplayed them in the last game and went down 3-0 so safety first I suppose.
I don't like to see us park the bus but chuffed with the result.
