Carroll's last in the firing line - Downing is doing his headless chicken routine and Johnson is getting owned at LB. we almost let City back in this but we're still winning, at the Etihad. So that's gotta be good. We need to press on and keep possession now, not sit back and counter by hoofing to Carroll.

I think Downing has been okay actually. Johnson looks a little out of place but not that bad.

    Carroll has been ****e though.

I know I am a bit pessimistic but are some really pessimistic at this? I thought we were doing fine and the game plan is working. Again maybe a bit better with some finishing, but there is no point in harping on Carroll and Downing, might as well show them support no matter how donkey they can be. Hart has been superb ( again). Skrtel showing a few signs of the old skrtel ( that last pay wtf was that? <laugh> )

There was a point where Downing bombed down the wing then ended up passing back rather than cutting in/crossing. My stream then lagged and I presumed it had rewound (as iplayer has a tendancy to do) as I saw Downing doing the same thing. I then realised that it hadn't rewound and it was him bombing down the wing (yet again) with no clue what to do when he gets to the end.

We've dominated the midfield and it's only Joe Hart that has kept City in this tie with 3 brilliant saves. Hope we don't let City back into this one though, Nasri coming on seemed to give them a bit more possession and it's a shame is Spearing has done proper damage with Lucas also being out.

Johnson seems a bit out of sort as well and I think their biggest threat is Richards at the moment.

Bellamy hasn't been involved enough for me. He had one run against Clichy and rang rings around him so hopefully that start to pick him out a bit more. Bellamy has the better of Clichy where as Richards has the beating of Downing.

It's like he is the only person who can't see that he is better running past people and whipping it in that stopping, cutting back and passing it to johnson who in turn puts in a ****e cross with his weaker foot. Madness

Andy did bad on three occasions, ultimately if he had a bit of luck he could have 2 goals though. Keep it up Andy it will come good<ok>

On another note, how bad are Everton? There was a time not too long ago when you could see them winning against the top teams and doing us a favour, now though they're just like any other mid-table team and just roll over. Feel so sorry for Moyes, he really has **** all to work with.

Ha ha! On again! Yeah I threw the 50/1 bet money away. Wasn't caring, not going to be negative other than what a Shame Spearing went off, the tactic of Gerrard starting deep with Hendo up was confusing the hell out of Man city. Adam on has made it a bit static but good job so far!

Yeah he has earnt a good shout with some money. Trouble is Everton are not a small club, just have no money.

Who can he manage that are bigger and available.

why was he never linked to the QPR job? not a big club but ambitious and with money to spend. Moyes has as much experience as Hughes.

we need some possession now ffs. we can't just keep letting City break on us wave after wave. I know we're holding them off, but with 35 mins left it only takes a bit of luck for them to sneak one in...
