Yes i hope your son is recovering well too, i sent my regards when you told us about it last time, hopefully he is on the mend nothing in life is more important than family
i will give it to you Welsh, you are the eternal optimists re Bodde, and hope all is well with your family KJ
I've been following this debate for a few days but only now I've bothered to log in at work. It's always going to be a big ask for Bodde to return to football and play as well as he has or even last a full match on the pitch without triggering an injury again. But as a dedicated Jack I'm behind all of our players and having seen him playing at his best and being at the games at which he sustained the injury and the failed comebacks I've seen how brilliant he is and how devastating it was to see such a great player limp off. I really hope that he can come back successfully and play a part in our history. I really hope that you're proved wrong Norway but if you aren't I'll be gutted but it won't be a huge shock. What ever happens, Bodde will always be a legend for playing for the Swans.
A legend i beg to differ, a great player WHEN HE PLAYED which was not often but to call him a legend is way over the top......curtis,james,trundle players like that earn the respect of the title legend....
Dai I said that he's a legend for playing for the Swans and playing bloody well at that. Anyone that pulls on that shirt and performs well for the swans is a bit of a legend imo. You're of course right to say that he doesn't deserve legendry status like Curtis, James, Alchurch etc. But here's to him changing that if he makes a comeback and stays fit!!
trundles and pratters come close to scoring spectacular goals also. it depends on which you like best ....
Bodde legend? Hmm.. Difficult one, for how he played and the way he inspired supporters i would say..yes,just about. I take dais point though, real swans legends Are pro en over time,i Think There Are some exceptions though
I think Curtis' first goal against Leeds on the opening day of the old first division takes some beating... It wasn't from 50 yards though!
Bodde is playing today along with Tatey http://www.swanseacity.net/page/Latest/0,,10354~2573483,00.html
The match was ongoing when I posted but finished now. The link has been updated with a match report, Bodde and Tatey played 45mins http://www.swanseacity.net/page/Latest/0,,10354~2573483,00.html
Thank god he's okay so far!!! This is the right way, let's ease him back carefully. So glad to see he's managed one hurdle, next will be managing 90 minutes.
45 mins of reserve game down!!! Couple more to go....really hope he features at some point this season...would be brilliant
hereford played last night in a div 2 match.......swans played against a mixture of youth and reserve players today with boddie and tatey playing just 45 mins, rory and situ played the whole 90 minutes with the game not producing much from the both sides, it took a penalty in the end in swans favor to break the deadlock...1-0 swans, attendance.....one man and his dog spot....
