Anyone have any idea who the new BBC pitlane analyst is for the new season? Jake Humphrey has been tweeting about it I see.

If Cosicave and Schumacher were actully to meet it would be an earth shattering event along the same principles and with similar power to the theoretical matter / anti-matter bomb

They are going to be big shoes to fill; Ted Kravtiz was superb.

If they pay my expenses (no wage don't worry) I'll do it :)
Unfortunately I think Lee McKenzie may just set up a little and beat me to it.

Although you two would get my vote <ok>

I thought he was intensely average at best. Came out with the stupidist things sometimes and was a poor substitute for James Allen who was superb in the role at ITV. I'll never forget 'I'd put a cheeky bet on Kubica to do the job this season (2009)' after running Vettel close in the closing stages for 2nd at the 2009 Australian Grand Prix (both collided and DNF) despite the fact that it was only a set of cicumstances which meant he could run Vettel close.

Wasn't exactly shedding tears when he left for Sky.

Sure, I love his insane funny moments:
-"In 12th and 13th the two Jaguars of Eddie Irvine."
-"There's nothing wrong with the car, except it's on fire."
-"Well, now we have exactly the same situation as at the beginning of the race, only exactly opposite."

I could be mistaken but think I recall Cosi mentioning that Schumacher has been fortunate enough to meet him a couple of times in the past. That may have been the root cause of Eyjafjallajokull and last year's Japanese tsunami.

Only a cynic would say "they've just gone for Eddie Jordan's mate" <whistle>

In fairness, I am surprised. I reckon that it's a pretty big gamble for the BBC to be bringing someone in with no media experience at a time when they're trying to win back people's trust.

Anderson has done a little journalism but I expect him to improve as the season goes on as he's no media pro yet.

It'll be someone with a pleasing face and little knowledge as to what they're doing, a bit like political leaders really, the BBC have a tendancy to put aesthetics over substance everytime.
