Ipswich Town are being linked with Neil Warnock. Warnock was sacked by QPR earlier this week. The Daily Mail says Championship strugglers Ipswich have already discussed the possibility of making a move for Warnock should they decide to axe their current manager Paul Jewell. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/ipswich-linked-sacked-qpr-boss-warnock-2618181?utm_source=main_feed
I'm not going to tell them, but I think if there's a chance, they should beg Colin to take the job... Shh!
Just a shame we won't be playing them for a few seasons, unless of course we draw them in the early rounds of one of the cups
daily fail to be fair though, it would make sense for the binners to move for warnock but i believe its complete guff that anything has already been talked about. i despise warnock way more than ipswich... match made in heaven, well, hell
I do not like Colin, in fact after all battles we have had with his Sheffield Utd teams down the years I positively hate the man. There is no denying however that we are in dire need of his abilities to improve the fortunes of struggling football teams. As a medium term measure over say 3 years I would be happy to see him take over and stabilize the team. We are in such a mess that it will take him a good 3 seasons to see us challenging for promotion but his first objective (like any other appointment) would be to keep us in this league this season. I would rather Colin was in our tent pissing out then outside pissing in! Another poor result tonight and I think it will seal Jewell's departure and it can't come too soon!
Is Colin really going to take another job? He said Palace was going to be his last but was seduced by the dark side of the force (money) and took the QPR job. JWM-We turned it around in 3 years and in fact improved our position by one league and are heading for debt free. It can be done.
I reckon he will, if not for money then perhaps to try and prove a point to the current QPR board. It's in his blood and will not be easy for him to refuse if the offers start coming in.
i thought similar but he must be hurting at the moment and i wouldn't be surprised to see him move quickly if another job came up, simply because his heart will probably rule his head and he'll think he needs to prove qpr wrong. whoever does get him will only see it as a short-term appointment though
Colin apparantly knows Marcus Evans and they have been friends for many years. It has been rumoured that if Colin hadn't already been involved at another football club at the time he would have been our manager instead of Keane!
Somebody posted this the other day, but it's worth posting again in case you missed it. He makes Gary Megsin look like Mother Theresa! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZDsjY3uFdE I'll be honest I'd completely forgotten abot this incident, but remember it now and surely it is a timeless reminder of what a low-life scumbag he can really be
. I'd forgotten that incident too! One of the more repeatable comments on that youtube clip: 'Warnock - cheat. Pure and simple. The media make him out to be a character, but he's a classless chancer and the game would be better off without him'. Amen to that.
