By Christopher Atkins 2012-01-11 02:07:00 According to the Daily Mail, QPR are planning a swoop for Brazil Under-20 starlet Henrique. The 20-year-old Brazilian is in Europe currently, having been awarded the Golden Boot award for the best player at the under-20 World Cup and was presented with his award in Zurich ahead of the Ballon D'Or celebrations. The player has long since been unhappy at São Paulo with the lack of first-team opportunities and the return of Luis Fabiano, combined with the club's active pursuit of attacking players has done little to improve his feelings on the matter. It is reported that he has instructed his agent to find a club in Europe and he is in the sights of Mark Hughes' QPR, with a cut-price deal potentially available. QPR are desperate for better forward options this season, with goals a real commodity at Loftus Road. http://www.sambafoot.com/en/news/27593_qpr_look_to_sao_paulo_striker_henrique.html? This is the kind of links that excites me, more than the Johnsons, Zamoras, Defoes we've had.
Here's more of him. Music ain't bad to
I can guarantee you that Mark Hughes has spent his time unemployed wisely. Looking for players that would be make him a success in his new job. The value for money will always lie abroad. Look at the Manchester City v Manchester United game, 15 out of the 27 involved has been brought to the Premiership. Only three of them has changed clubs within the PL. Henrique will most likely cost a third of Andy Carroll, IF he and others is a success, they will make the club fortunes. This is something, unfortunately, Neil Warnock wouldn't been enable to IMO.
Very true. He will bring a new level of professionalism to our club. Training, tacticts, opposition research, sports science etc etc. I will bet that most of our players will not have previously experienced the intensity that he will bring to us. he will take NO bullsh**e. I expect some fireworks in the dressing room. As former players of his i fully expect both Barton and SWP to up their performances considerabily, which will be of huge benefit to us. I only hope the fans understand how vunerable we are now and the huge job that he has ahead of him.
YES! This appointment fills me with so much excitement i'm strugling to cope! Barton hasn't actually played under him before though, think it was Pearce who sold him just before Hughes took the reins at Manchester City.
